S1 E8: Melody in a Flash♪ Part 1

"Special announcement, dearies!" Dahlia-sensei told my class. "There's going to be a special Pearl Star Spring Live this Saturday, and all of you third years need to perform in a brand."

Great, I thought. Among my group of friends, I was the only one who didn't use a brand yet. Yana uses Pastel Blossom, Syurina is the muse of Hanairo Asia and Kiyoko stars in Summer Tropics advertisements.

"For this event, it doesn't matter what rarity your Coord is. All you need is a brand."

When class was over, Syurina and I walked around the school together. She and Yana are unfortunately more distant since we met Kiyoko. However, I still care about those two, and I hope to reunite them.

"You better talk to Yana," I told her as we walked outside the main building.

"I don't know," Syurina replied hesitantly. "By the way, do you have a brand yet?"

I shook my head. "Not yet. But don't ignore Yana because of Kiyoko."

Syurina stopped walking. "If I still stay with those two, I'll just cause trouble."

"You'll cause more trouble if you ignore them. Tell them about your feelings. Yana will understand. She's your best friend, isn't she?"

Syurina sighed and continued walking. "Maybe. Enough about me, let's talk about you. What brand will you be using for the Special Event?"

I thought for a moment. Only now did I realise that I haven't found a brand which suited me.

"I'm not sure..." I replied. "Do you know any brands I can use?"

"I know a lot of brands," Syurina answered. "But in the end, you're going to have to choose for yourself."

I stayed quiet for a moment before I said, "Alright. Please tell me the brands you know."

The two of us made our way to the library. Before we entered, Syurina said, "I know a lot of brands. And I mean a lot. Are you sure you want to know them all because we would take forever."

"Maybe you can just show me the ones you think I would like..." I told her timidly.

As we sat at a computer, Syurina first searched for Hanairo Asia's website.

"I'm sure you know Hanairo Asia," Syurina stated confidently. "As a muse of this brand, I have the responsibility to promote it."

I looked at the outfits and style of the brand. I've already met the top designer, Hanamori Ruka. She's kindhearted and passionate about her work, but the brand's concept didn't suit me very much.

"I feel more like a modern type than a traditional one," I admitted.

Syurina nodded in understanding, then went to Pastel Blossom's website.

"Yana-chan's favourite brand," Syurina said before an uneasy look formed on her face.

Pastel Blossom is a cute brand which mainly consisted of modern pastel aesthetics. Yana definitely fits the brand image. Have I mentioned that most of her casual outfits and belongings are pastel-coloured?

"Nice and modern," I stated. "But it's too cute for me..."

"I thought so," Syurina told me. "You're more of a cool idol, aren't you?"

I nodded, and we decided to look at cool brands next.

"Here's a cool brand called Celestial Goth. It has a stellar and gothic concept to it. Kosaka Hatsuko-senpai is a muse of this brand."
