S1 E10: Yana and Syurina

Yana Aikyou 愛敬 矢那

A new day in a new school. I'm about to begin my Aikatsu!

But, I'm unsure if I can even survive Aikatsu.

When I was younger, I'd always sing and dance whenever a music video was playing on the television. My parents would take videos of me and watch those videos afterwards. That was a lot of fun.

The first time I wanted to be an idol was when I saw Capella on TV. I was walking home from school, feeling discouraged because I failed my Japanese test.

"Why am I so worthless?" I asked myself.

On a large screen, two girls appeared. The one on my left had blonde hair tied up in a ponytail and red-yellow eyes. The other had curly, navy-blue hair reaching past her waist and lavender eyes. They were smiling and waving.

"Everyone!" announced the blonde-haired girl. "I am Akizora Ayame!"

"And I'm Kosaka Hatsuko!" the girl with navy-blue hair added.

"And together, we are Capella!"

I couldn't keep my eyes off the screen. These girls danced and sang in harmony. Ayame's dance moves were so graceful and Hatsuko's voice sounded melodious.

When they were finished, everyone around me began cheering. My sadness vanished before I knew it.

I wanted to be an idol and bring smiles to people.

Now I was a first-year in Pearl Star Academy. I didn't know anybody here at all.

"I'll be fine," I told myself, trying not to panic while I was sitting by myself in class.

I wish I could make friends at this school. Wouldn't it be fun to do Aikatsu with someone else?

A lady with indigo hair and amber eyes walked into the classroom. Smiling, she said, "Good morning, dearies! I'm your teacher, Otogawa Dahlia, but feel free to call me Dahlia-sensei. I'll be your class teacher, and I'll be in charge of your singing classes this year."

Singing classes, I thought. I loved singing. I wish I could have somebody to sing with.

During lunch, I went to the cafeteria by myself. Everyone around me was in different groups, chatting happily and eating lunch together. Meanwhile, I ate at an empty table.

I wanted to approach other people, but I didn't have the guts to.

When I finished my lunch, I decided to have a walk around the campus. Before that, I got myself some peach tea.

"Yummy!" I said after sipping some tea.

I continued drinking my tea as I walked in the hallway. There were a lot of people and I did not want to spill my drink on anyone.

"Hey, did you know that Akizora Ayame and Kosaka Hatsuko go to this school?" I heard someone say.

"Yeah!" another person replied. "That's why I came here!"
