S1 E31: Dual Unit Cup!

I wonder what Headmistress Misaki wanted to tell us. For some reason, Hokkaidols was part of this surprise.

  Yana and Sayako came back a day after Kiniro☆Nadeshiko, my unit with Syurina, debuted. I squeezed them in my arms when I saw them at the school's main entrance.

  "I missed you Sayako-tan, Yana-chan!" I told them.

  "We missed you too, Kiyoko-chan," Yana said warmly. "And Syuri-chan, of course!"

  The three of us went to the auditorium together. Headmistress Misaki was standing on the stage.

"She said that there was a surprise waiting for us," I spoke with a finger on my chin. "But she said we had to wait for you to come back."

The headmistress smiled. "Good morning teachers and students. Today I'm going to announce an upcoming special event: the Dual Unit Cup!"

"Dual Unit Cup?" Sayako repeated, blinking.

"This Unit Cup will feature the two-person units in the middle school division," Headmistress Misaki explained. "The winning unit will move on to the next round, but the details will be given at the end of the first round."

When the assembly was over, Sayako and I met up with Yana and Syurina. I was hyped up.

  "This must be what Headmistress Misaki was telling us about," I said excitedly.

  "Well, looks like we're rivals," Sayako bluntly noted. "Hokkaido was a blast, wasn't it, Yana?"

  Yana nodded. "We were featured in an ice cream sandwich commercial!"

  "Meanwhile, we never had the chance to go on tour," Syurina sighed. "Cassiopeia has gone to many places and Hokkaidols just got back from Hokkaido."

  I pouted. "Looks like we're just locodols."

  Syurina patted my shoulder. "That's alright, Kiyoko-chan. We shouldn't give up because of that."

  "You'd have less pressure from fans too," Sayako added.

  I beamed. "Kiniro☆Nadeshiko's gonna show you our truest brilliance!"

Hokkaidols looked at each other energetically. "We won't hesitate or hold back," Yana proclaimed.

The four of us smiled competitively. It's time for Kiniro☆Nadeshiko and Hokkaidols to compete against each other.

After school, Yana and I jogged around the campus. I told her about Syurina and Onii-chan finally resolving their past issue.

  "I'm glad to hear that, Kiyoko-chan," Yana admitted. "Thank you!"

  Giggling, I admitted, "It was awkward at first. But I'm thankful they finally talked to each other properly. Syuri-chan said it's because she saw Reyna-chan with Onii-chan. That's how she was able to understand."

  Yana blinked. "Reyna-chan's back? I didn't see her today..."

  "She left early because Cassiopeia has some event coming up," I explained. "And you just came back after she left."

  "Bummer..." Yana sighed.

We decided to take a break at one of the benches. The autumn leaves were falling on the floor.

"You know, Ayame-senpai and I were watching the sakura petals fall when school started," Yana spoke. "And now she's in the hospital."

I stared at the ground. The leaves were piling up.
