Millie
-

Waking up next to Shawn was something I could never get tired of. I rolled onto my side and looked at the beautiful boy next to me. His hair was an entire mess, his face was so relaxed, his mouth was slightly parted. I reached my hand over and rested it against his cheek. The action made him slowly open his eyes and he smiled.

"Good morning beautiful." He croaked.

His morning voice was also something I could never get tired of. It was rough and deep and scratchy. It could make me fall to my knees in seconds, to be honest.

"Good morning." I smiled.

We were both entirely naked, but he still grabbed my waist and pulled me to sit on his waist. I pulled the blanket up and tried to cover myself.

"Mamas, I have seen your body so many times. It's still super hot, stop trying to cover yourself." He smiled.

He interlaced our fingers and I pressed my lips to his. I moved to lay on top of him and put my head to his bare chest.

"I love waking up like this." Shawn mumbled.

"You only like it because you think I'll have sex with you again." I laughed.

His chest bumped as he laughed and his hands rested on my lower back.

"You know you have back dimples?" Shawn asked.

"I do know." I chuckled.

His fingers went into the little dips and he drew circles in them.

"Stop!" I laughed, moving away from him.

"Let's make breakfast." He stretched.

I nodded and pulled his shirt over me. He put on his sweatpants and we went to the kitchen. Shawn got all the ingredients to make pancakes, while I sat at the counter and tried to find a new job.

"I still don't understand why you need to work. I make enough money for both of us and then like 80 kids."

"If that is your way of telling me you want 80 kids, it's not happening." I laughed.

"I don't want 80 kids, I want like four." He corrected.

"Well, I don't want any so."

"Wait, really?" He stopped moving.

He turned to face me and came to the counter.

"Yeah, I just don't want any. My parents were pretty shitty to me and I wouldn't even know how to take care of a kid." I chuckled.

"Millie, this isn't funny. I actually want kids."

I stopped typing on my laptop and looked up at him. I mean, a family with Shawn would be nice but I don't think I could ever handle that. Nine months of pregnancy and then eighteen years of raising them with hellish tendencies and drugs and drinking.

"I just... Shawn. I don't know if I could do it."

"That's why there is two of us."

"Shawn, can we talk about this another time? It's really early. In the morning and in our relationship."

"I guess." He muttered.

He went back to making breakfast and I continued searching for a job. Our kids would be cute. They would get brown or black hair. Brown eyes or hazel eyes. They would get my freckles and they would be so sweet. They would get Shawn's nose and no.

No.

No kids.

I shook my head and Shawn put a plate next to my laptop. I smiled and thanked him, he just nodded. He took his plate and went to the instrument room. I sighed and ate. I felt bad for making Shawn upset, but we couldn't act like this was such a big deal. Why does it matter if we have kids or not?

After I finished eating and submitting my application to places, I cleaned up and went to the bedroom. Shawn was laying in the bed on his phone. I went to the closet and picked out a pair of shorts and a cropped tee shirt. I changed and came out. Shawn was gone, but his phone was there.

I had an odd feeling about it. I went over and opened his messages. He had texted Camila, asking to hang out. I scoffed and put his phone back. I grabbed my stuff and slipped on a pair of Vans. I grabbed my phone and went down the stairs.

"I'm going out." I blurted and went for the door.

"Where?"

"Oh, now you care?" I rolled my eyes, opening the door.

"What?"

"You haven't talked to me all morning and you went and... You know what. Nothing. I'm going out."

I walked out the door, Shawn yelled my name. I had no way to go anywhere, so I called a girl I met from the club party. Her name was Savanah, she was friends with Madison and was dating this guy named Chris that Shawn was friends with.

We connected immediately that night and I texted her every so often. I called her and asked her to meet me at the gate. She happily agreed and came to pick me up. I waited with the guard, who now was close to Shawn and I. We loved him, he was funny and kind. I sat and talked with him as I waited for Savanah to come.

She eventually came and we went to a small cafe. We got coffee and went to sit.

"Spill."

"Spill what?" I said after taking a sip of my coffee.

"You look upset, spill."

"Shawn and I had a silly fight, that's all."

"About what?" She pushed.

I pushed my hair behind my ear and sighed. I shrugged and took another sip of my coffee.

"Babes, who am I going to tell?"

"Chris, who will tell Shawn." I laughed.

She laughed and shrugged.

"He wants kids, I don't really. He texted Camila after our fight, he ate in the music room. He ignored me all morning." I put my head in my hands.

"It's not a silly fight. Shawn needs to respect what you want, but he also shouldn't have gone and texted Camila. What did he say?"

"He said he missed her and they should hang out tonight with like four heart emojis."

"Four?! He's cheating."

"Sav, that's not funny." I looked at her with a very serious face.

"I'm only kidding. You have to remember they have been friends for so long." She shrugged.

I sipped my coffee and pulled my phone out.

Millie
Hey! Want to get
dinner tonight?

"I texted him, asking if we could get dinner. If he says no, he's cheating." I set my phone on the table.

"Millie, that doesn't determine anything. He wants to hang out with an old friend, maybe get a drink. It's nothing serious."

My phone blinged.

I pulled up the message.

Tears immediately climbed into my eyes and I shoved my phone into Sav's hand.
