Millie
-I quickly pushed James off and stared at him.
"What is wrong with you?!" I yelled.
"Come on, you really don't think Shawn would stay with you when he has all these groupies? So, why not date me and I wouldn't hurt you like that."
"James! I am engaged to him, we are going to get married! He won't do that to me! You crossed the line. Do not ever, ever speak to me again." I turned and walked back to the building.
I pulled my phone out and saw a text from Shawn.
Shawnie
Landed!
Attached: 1 ImageI opened the picture and it was of him and Ivan. They were standing in the airport with fans lined up behind him. I laughed and decided to wait till I called him later to tell him about the James thing.
I went back to my office and shut the door, sitting down and starting my next article. I got a message and it was from Sav.
Sav Baby
What the hell!!!!!!!
Attached: 5 ImagesI opened the pictures and it was of James and I at lunch. The only pictures were of him kissing me from behind me, so there was so way you could tell I was disgusted or pushed him off.
My jaw dropped and I immediately called Sav.
"Millie, what the fuck!"
"It's not that! He kissed me and said that Shawn would cheat and I should be with him! I pushed him off and I swear it's not what it looks like." I rushed out.
"Have you told Shawn?"
"No, he just landed and we were supposed to facetime tonight after he got back to the hotel."
"Millie, call him now before he thinks something."
"Okay, I will text you later."
I hung up and quickly dialed Shawn's number.
"Am I a joke to you?" He answered.
"No, Shawn listen!"
"Millie, I proposed to you last night."
"I know! Okay. He kissed me! I pushed him off and walked away! He said that you would cheat on me anyway, and that I should be with him because he was here."
"How do I believe that?"
"You have to. I have your ring on my finger. You can see it in the pictures. I love you, Shawn. I would never want to hurt you or do anything like that to you."
"Okay, but if I find out that it wasn't like that, you need to move out and give me my ring back. I know this is going to be hard on us, but please call me in the future." He sighed.
"I swear, Shawn, it wasn't like that. I am going to go to Catherine as soon as we hang up and talk to her about it." I leaned back in my chair.
"I think he set it up, too." I continued.
"How did he set it up?"
"He texted someone when we first started eating. It was a simple lunch with my coworker because I didn't bring anything today. Then, at the perfect time somehow someone captures him kissing me, but not me pushing him off? Or me yelling? Or me walking away?"
"That would make sense, but don't let me find out from twitter next time. I love you, I have to go."
"I love you so much more. See you later."
We hung up and I sighed. Seriously? It's been a few hours since he left and it's already this messy? I stood up from my chair and headed up to Catherine's office.
I knocked on her door and walked in. She looked up and smiled.
"Hey!"
"Hi, can we talk?"
"Of course, please, sit." She gestured.
I sat in the chair across from her desk and crossed my legs.
"James and I went to lunch, and he kissed me. He called someone to talk pictures of him kissing me and now they are out there."
"James? Really?"
"Yes, ma'am." I nodded.
"Well, let me talk to him and see what he says. Can I see these photos?"
I pulled them up and showed them to her, explaining thoroughly what happened. She seemed to be on my side and told me to go finish my article, then go home. I did as she said and went home.
I pulled into the driveway and dragged myself inside. I was dreading going in because I knew I had nothing else to do tonight. Shawn didn't have a show, but he had a meeting as soon as he got to the hotel. So, I wouldn't be able to see him for a while.
I went upstairs to our room and flopped into bed. I pulled my phone out and went to twitter, of course James and I were the first thing I saw. I didn't know what to do. I dialed Catherine's number and waited for her to pick up.
"Catherine."
"Hi! It's Millie. I had a question."
"Oh, hi sweetie. What's up?"
"Do I put anything out about the James thing?"
"Honestly, that is entirely up to you and Shawn and his team. If they think it is best to put out a statement, go for it. You don't owe anyone an explanation."
I sighed and nodded, only realizing she couldn't even see me.
"Okay, thank you. I will see you Monday."
"Have a good weekend sweetheart."
I hung up and went to change. I grabbed one of Shawn's shirts and a pair of my spandex, going to the bathroom to shower. I turned the shower on, making sure to leave my phone on the counter in case Shawn called with the ringer on, and let the water warm up. I took off my work clothes and got into the shower.
I washed my hair, my body, my face, and shaved. I got out and dried myself off, getting changed and crawling back to bed. I got under the sheets and plugged my phone in. I turned the TV on and put on Netflix, Shawn and I started a show, but he left before we could finish it so I decided to watch it.
Fifteen minutes into watching, my phone started blaring with a Shawn ringtone. I laughed, not knowing that Shawn changed his ringtone to him singing.
I answered the Facetime and his smiley face popped on the screen.
"Hi!" I laughed.
"Hey pretty." He smiled.
"So, we have to talk about that James thing." I sighed.
"What about it?" His face dropped and he look rigid.
"Are we making a statement or hoping it goes away?"
"I have to talk to Dylan and the team about it, but I think we should just make a statement to one magazine or news source and let it settle." He shrugged.
"I'm sorry." I frowned.
"For what? You didn't do anything."
"I feel bad about this happening, you're gone one day and I'm already in a mess." I chuckled.
"Well, that's what Facetime was created for... Is that the show we were watching?"
"Maybe." I bit my lip to hold back my laughter.
"Millie!" He laughed.
