Millie
-

Months later.

I was sat on my couch, working on an article for some magazine. They wanted my input on personal training, more specifically Shawn. I avoided Shawn like the plague. Any time he was in my state, I made sure to duck around every corner and hide from every pap.

After his tour, Shawn settled back in LA. He began writing his new album. He came to my house frequently to knock on the door until one of the neighbors kicked him out for being too loud. He called me every ten minutes. He sent me thousands of texts. I had gotten an email from Dylan that warned me to never contact Shawn. It broke the contract, however I don't remember reading that.

He told me if I ever talked or contacted Shawn, they would sue me for everything I had. Shawn left me hundreds of voicemails, some drunk, some sober. He always told me how sorry he was and how he didn't mean for any of this to happen. It broke my heart every time his name popped up on my phone.

About a month ago, the calls stopped. The texts stopped. He stopped showing up. He didn't leave voicemails. He became Shawn Mendes, he was famous.

I quickly finished the article and sent it. I closed the laptop and turned on my TV. It came onto a news outlet, media news. It showed celebrities at the beach or any drama happening with the Kardashians. I sighed and got up from the couch, walking to the small kitchen.

I started to make a bowl of cereal when I heard his name. I turned with the bowl in my hands to face the TV.

"Shawn Mendes was seen with Camila Cabello, reportedly making out in a restaurant. The two stars have claimed for a month or two that they were not dating, however these videos show otherwise. Take a look!"

The next clip they played was of Shawn and Camila sitting at a table, making out. I felt the bowl slip from my fingers and I was stood frozen.

"Now! If that isn't steamy, months ago at the beginning of his tour, his personal trainer Millie Evans and him were seen kissing after a work out. Fans took several pictures and Millie was soon kicked off the tour. There is no word on where Millie is now, however we assume she is dealing with heavy legal agreements. Shawn and Camila have been seen many times around the town, seen here."

Pictures of them started popping up, them holding hands, them kissing, them dancing.

"The rumors of them dating started after their new single Señorita was released. Coming up next, Kim Kardashian photoshopping her children?!"

I was stood frozen in my spot as the channel went to a commercial. I felt water dribbling down my leg and looked down. The water, was actually blood. The bowl shattered everywhere and cut my legs and feet open. I was frozen.

I forced my body to start moving and went to the bathroom. I found some wraps and gauze and wrapped my legs. I grabbed my keys and my phone and went to my car. I felt like everything around me was moving in slow motion as I drove to the hospital.

I headed into the E.R. and checked in. They took me immediately to stitch any cuts that were too big closed. The nurses tried asking me questions, but my mouth was so dry, I couldn't even form any words. I stared at the ceiling as they told me it was going to hurt here or there and that they had to make sure I didn't have any pieces in my legs.

My phone started ringing in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was a picture of Shawn and I at the beach. His name was displayed large against my screen. My body pressed the green button and I held the phone to my ear.

"Millie! What happened? Why are you in the hospital? I am seeing pictures of you in the E.R. and I see blood! What happened? Did you get hit? Did you fall? Did someone hurt you?!" He rushed as the call started.

I stayed silent. The nurses were talking by my legs, making sure they got any pieces out.

"Millie!" Shawn called.

I pulled the phone from my ear and ended the call. I set the phone on my lap and turned my head to look at the wall. I felt numb and frozen and like I would shatter if I spoke.

The nurse told me that I would need to stay for half an hour to make sure I was vitally okay. She mentioned about being dehydrated, but I didn't really listen. They walked away and I watched them. I saw someone in the corner taking pictures on their phone. By the sliding doors was stood about 10 paps. Any time the door opened they took as many pictures as possible. The nurses quickly shooed them away and closed my curtain.

My phone started ringing again and it was my brother.

"Millie, what the hell? I thought I told you to call if you were in trouble!"

I stayed silent.

"Millie, what the fuck! Answer! Where are you! Why are you in the hospital!"

Shawn was dating another girl and he didn't care about me. He moved on.

I felt the phone slip from my hand and tears slowly moved down my cheeks. I heard my brother yelling on the phone and the line ended. I pushed my hands to my face and raked them through my hair. A nurse came through the curtain and sat down.

"Is there anyone we can call to come pick you up? We don't advise you drive home due to the numbing medication we used in your legs."

I stared at the curtain in front of me and tears rolled down my cheeks. She reached for my phone and it was still unlocked after my brother called. She stood up and went to the corner of the small curtained room.

"Hello, I am a nurse at Johnson's Memorial Hospital, my name is Riley. Is there anyway you can come pick up Miss Evans? You are listed as her emergency contact and we had to numb her legs, we just need her to have a ride to her home. You can? We can do that. Yes, of course. Thank you."

She handed my phone back and told me he would be here soon. I locked my phone and they pulled the I.V. from my arm. They checked over me and left me stay in the bed due to all the cameras around. I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the floor.
