4.2k. The one where Mia has a bit of separation anxiety and never wants to leave her baby's side, and Harry knows it's unhealthy.

"Hey," Harry says as he appears in the doorway, fixing his cuffs. Usually Mia helps him with the right wrist cuffs, but she's been missing for a while so he's gone to look for her. His eyes fall to her. She's sitting on their bed, still in her regular clothing, cuddling closely to her baby. "Why aren't you dressed yet, love? Gemma's gonna be here in thirty minutes. Have you showered?"
When she lifts her head up to look at him, he realizes her eyes are wet and teary. His gaze immediately softens as he steps into the room and asks, "What's wrong?"
He expects her to go on a tangent about how their child is warming up or try to imitate the cough she'd done a few seconds ago, but instead she looks up at him and shakes her head.
"Nothing," she promises weakly. "Just can't let her go."
He steps closer to her, a pout on his face. "I know, but it's only for a few hours."
Mia wipes her face. "It's too long. She needs me." She lifts up her finger that the baby is holding tightly onto. "See? She needs me."
"Amara is staying with her, my love, and she's the best person to be with her right now."
"No. We are the best people."
Harry smiles as she brings Laila up to her lips for a kiss. "Of course, but she's going to have us forever. One night won't hurt anyone. C'mon. You haven't been out of the house since her birth!"
"Nine weeks ago," she murmurs against the baby's soft cheek.
"Yes," he says, placing a hand on her back gingerly. "Nine whole weeks, and we'll only be out for a few hours."
"Anything can happen in a few hours."
"Anything yeah, but Amara is prepared for it. She's got like 4 nieces and nephews."
It appears he's convinced her because she nods and takes a deep breath as if to calm herself, and then she lifts Laila into the air for her father to hold. She's awake, but still sleepy from how milk drunk she is, and cuddles into her father's slightly bare chest. He hasn't gotten the chance to put his tie around his neck yet or button up his shirt all the way.
"Hi, baby," he coos, rocking her gently. "How are you? How is daddy's favorite girl?" Seeing Harry interact with their baby is so heartwarming to Mia that her skin feels as if it's melting. The amount of love her has for Laila surpasses how much he loves Mia, and it's mutual. Nothing could get in the way of the two of them. Laila and Harry are an iconic duo of father and daughter. Everything he does is for her. He exists for her.
After a few more kisses and nose rubs, Harry lets up and kisses her cheek one more time. Then, he slowly walks over to bring her to her crib and gently lays her down.
He turns to his wife. "Get dressed please. I'll be back." He doesn't wait for a reply, assuming it gets through her head.

When he walks back, he's upset to see her still in her clothes, looming over her baby in the crib.
"Mia..." he questions, resting his hands on his hips. "What are you doing?"
She can't bring herself to glance up at him, however afraid she'll see a face filled with disappointment, she chooses to keep her gaze on her child.
"I don't think I can go. You'll have your sister and I can stay with her." Her thumb draws a shape onto the sleeping baby's cheek. In a quiet voice, she continues, "I called off Amara."
