Chapter - 8 - Good Friends

The next period, he did sit with RIA. He didn't even think of doing it but because he had no other choice so he had to.

Darshan's POV

At that moment, I didn't know what to do, all I could think was of the ways I could possibly make up for Kayna. I know, I love RIA, but there is something in my heart that tells me to stop whatever is going on. It tells me that it isn't right and this is not meant to happen. I don't know what to do!! Anyways, now as I have promised to sit with Ria, Kayna won't let things go off easily. If she has thought of something, she will make it happen. It is very difficult to win from her, she has her own ways and all I can do now is sit with RIA. When I sit with her, I don't know how my heart skips a beat. I think probably it starts to run as if I am a part of some marathon. I don't know what to do, shall I listen to my mind or my heart??

It was all dark in the class, as the lights were off and the windows, which were drawn to allow the sunrays to enter, also had a gray effect in the classroom as the dark clouds hovered above, in the sky, rapidly moving and covering the sunlight completely. It was a great weather for all the others, but for Darshan, who was already in dismay, it seemed like his feelings were at war, as if his heart was fighting a never ending war with his mind.

RIA was getting restless; she didn't know what to talk with Darshan. Unlike Darshan, she was calm but nervous. She knew she really loved him and thus, she was unable to talk. Their sitting together resulted as non - profitable. Kayna, Rohan and Kritika had already decided that this plan had enormously failed and that they had to now think of another plan.

While they were away, thinking of how to bring Darshan and RIA together, Darshan couldn't understand what was wrong with him? He had never felt like this before and what was his heart doing? He knew that his mind had directed him and brought him to the conclusion that he liked RIA, but his heart had a completely different story, his heart was not ready to accept that he liked RIA.

Days passed by, and finally, it was Valentine's Day!! They were all very excited for this day. They had been waiting for this day and had loyally prepared for this day. ( I hope you understand, what I mean by 'they')

Looking at the past (before Valentine's Day):-

Things had been going smooth between both, Darshan and RIA. They had become good friends!! Well, Darshan was friends with RIA, but because of RIA's behavior, the three most lovable people of our story didn't accept her in. She used to roam about with Darshan, hand - in - hand, she would sit with him for the entire day. Somewhere, his friends thought they were losing him. They thought as if he had gone far away from them. He didn't used to share much of his talks with his group, instead he would hang out with RIA and keep his phone busy. They wanted him and Ria to be together, but somewhere this was not acceptable by them.

They started teasing him and telling him that they needed him badly. They would say in front of the entire classroom, that they had lost their very dear friend and all used to laugh. When Darshan didn't like this he asked them to stop it and they had their own reasons, they fought with him and as we all know, about our great fighter Kayna, she fought with him and he accepted his defeat, he apologised and all was fine again.
