Me and Josh look over at each other. His expression is highly quizzical, and mine is doubtful. Almost out of the blue I remember their song 'Guns For Hands' I know exactly what it's saying, because it just runs through my head like a second language.
We exit the lift and Tyler goes wandering ahead.
"Since when were you friends with Tyler?" Josh asks, looking at me suspiciously.
"I don't know, I guess we just have a lot in common, and we are neighbours. Anyways, how's Xander?" I ask, trying to change the subject.
"He's fine, I did invite him, but he didn't want to come for some reason." Josh says, shrugging his shoulders. I get I little annoyed with the fact that Josh invited Xander without my approval.
"He's completely obsessed with you, I think it's because you're in a band." I giggle, realising that I shouldn't of said that.
"Haha." Josh chuckles lightly,"Who isn't obsessed with me(!)"
I chuckle lightly back, trying not to think anything of it. Tyler turns around as we reach the end of the street.
"So, the park." Tyler sighs happily, stopping so we can catch up with him. The park is only around the corner and it isn't very big; there's only a field and a couple of old swings. I smile a little because Tyler's face is cuter than I remembered. Any good friend,at this point would be able to tell how in love I am with Tyler, if only I had any good friends. I don't know why, but I wouldn't really consider Tyler being a 'good' friend, he's more of a 'close' type of friend, the ones that would come over at 3am in the morning just to check if you were alright, they're the best kinds of friends.
When we catch up with Tyler, i notice he twitches slightly, the kind of twitch someone would develop after some sort of trauma. This makes me wonder even more about the broken mind of Tyler Joseph. Entering the park Josh instantly points out the swings.
"Swings!" He shouts, as if he were an 8 year old.
"Yay swings!" I grin cheerfully. On our way to the swings we walk past a group of 'gangsters', their hoods are up and their creased jeans are far below their waist. As we past them Tyler imitates them and puts on what he likes to call a 'swag walk'
"What are you doing?!" I ask loudly, so embarrassed I have to cup both hands over my eyes. Josh joins in and I act like I'm not with them. They cut it out when an old lady started giving them weird looks. We approach the swings and Josh sits on one the to the right, Tyler on one to the left then there's me in the middle. Swinging slightly Josh attempts to start a formal conversation.
"So Aria, I know you're not from around here, you must really miss your parents." Josh says.
I see Tyler in the corner of my eye shaking his head and mouthing to Josh
'Her mom died.' I put my head down, not wanting to look at either of them.
"I'm so sorry Aria, I-I had no idea..." Josh frowns sympathetically. I feel Tyler's hand touches my shoulder and I feel my hands got numb as goosebumps form on the back of my arms.
"Remember, it's okay to cry." He whispers.
"I know, I'm okay, I'm fine." I lie. Tyler's hand slowly leaves my shoulder.
"I need to go to the bathroom." Josh says randomly.
"There's a Chinese restaurant just round the block, they let me go there when the toilet broke at the record store." I say pointing behind us.
"Oh, okay." He smiles,"do you mind if I go and leave you guys for a few minutes ?"
"Yeah, whatever bro." Tyler smiles shooing him off.
Josh stands up and leaves. Something's telling me he doesn't really need the toilet. If he did he would of told us before we got to the park.
"So..." Tyler begins to say awkwardly.
"How's life."
I look at him pathetically.
"Terrible...."
"Touché." He replies, twiddling his fingers. We sit in silence for a few minutes, both patiently waiting for Josh to come back. I draw my attention to my shoes, I swing my feet back in forth, sometimes it helps me keep my mind at bay. Out of the blue Tyler stares at me. I pretend that I don't notice and lift my head up into the sky.
"You know Aria, I've never felt so close to someone that quickly." He huffs. He doesn't need to explain what he's talking about, because I know he's referring to me. I stare back at him and our eyes meet magically.
"I suppose I could say the same about you." I reply, still staring hopelessly into his eyes, as he stares back.
He leans in slowly. I lean in as well. Our lips join and the next thing we know, we're kissing. His soft tender lips press delicately onto mine. I shut my eyes as I realise this is really happening.I feel my heart melt as he grasps onto my hand. I would do anything to freeze this moment forever.
When we lean back I reopen my eyes to see Tyler is staring at me again.
"What?" I smile.
"You're beautiful." He smiles back.

Thanks Guys for over 1K, without you this story would just be meaningless words, but you gave those words your own meaning.
Because of this I'm going to tell you the meaning behind my name Burning_Shadows. (In case you were wondering.)
So Burning Shadows was taken from Semi-Automatic. "The dust is down and shadows burn"
Meaning-
Shadow- dark side to someone. People try to burn those shadows so no one else can see their dark side, but they only end up making it worst. Now they try to make up stories to make them feel normal.
What it's saying: you can try to burn you're thoughts, but the fire will spread and destroy all of you.
Yeah I know it's weird, but...
