It was the day Xander was moving in. We never really mentioned it since he told me about it on the phone. It bothered me, but he didn't know that. It bothered him too, but he couldn't do anything about it. It was this or be homeless, so I've sort of accepted it because of circumstances, but I still don't want him to move in nonetheless. That was Aria's. Memories were made there, and they're going to be replaced.

A lot has been on my mind these past few days. There was Xander moving into Aria's old apartment, Josh becoming quieter and quieter, me and Jenna, and our hometown show tomorrow evening. The more I thought about them the more stressed I became. Of course worrying was useless, but I couldn't help it.

Josh worried me the most. He's always been there for me, but I don't know if I'm strong enough to be there for him the way he was there for me. He's my best friend, so I'll try my best to live up to my title of his best friend because that's what we do. We numb each other's pain. Right?

There was a knock at the door. I opened it and a friendly face was at the other side of it.
"Hello!" Xander says bro hugging me.
"Thanks for helping me move in. Are Josh and Jenna here yet?" He asks waking in.
"That's ok. And no they're not. Should be on their way, though." I say shutting my door.
"Okay, we can wait for them to come before we start unpacking." He smiles briefly before frowning.
"You okay?" He asks trying to look at my face that was staring at the ground.
"Yeah- yeah. I'm just a little tired." I smile slightly looking up at him to seem okay, but I wasn't. It was only half true. I was tired, but I was also still worried about Josh.

A few minutes later there was a knock at the door again and it was obviously Josh and Jenna.
"Hi." Jenna says, smiling.
"Hello," I smile back, that is until I see Josh. His eyes are bloodshot and he looks weak. I'm actually surprised he's awake. Our eyes meet.
"Are you okay?" I whisper as Jenna walks off to go and greet Xander who's in the kitchen getting drinks. He shakes his head.
"Couldn't sleep...again." He groans quietly. His back arches forward as he walks into my living room. I can see already how much he's trying not to cry.
"Josh you should've called me!" I exclaim. I feel guilty. I've called Josh numerous times when I couldn't sleep. I recall once he'd came over to comfort me. And now, when he can't sleep, he wouldn't even tell me.
"I'm sorry. I guess I didn't want to give you any hassle." he sighs.
"I don't mind. Honestly, if you need to talk at three in the morning, then I'll talk to you at three in the morning. You got it? ." I ask. He nods his head.
"I know you came here today to be helpful but I think I'd be best if you went to bed, you really need to sleep."
"No, I can do it. I--" he says.
"No Josh, you need to sleep. It'll make you feel better, I promise." I demand, cutting him off completely.
"Fine, but only for a few hours. And only because you told me too." He says as he walks into my room and shuts the door.

"Where's Josh?" Xander asks, with 4 cans of coke in his hands.
"Oh, he went into my bed. He was overtired and needed some rest." I reply.
"Yeah, I noticed he didn't seem quite himself. He looks really pale too." Jenna says.
"Well then, I think we should start unpacking my stuff if we wanna get this done by the end of the day." Xander grins heading out my apartment.

We head to his car and carry several boxes to the apartment. I hesitate as I walk in. It doesn't smell like Aria's perfume anymore, it smells like death. I know death doesn't have a smell, and I've never actually been close enough to a dead body to smell one. But there was an aurora lingering in the air that just made me want to shiver. It wasn't a ghost-like presence. I didn't feel anyone, it just made me feel like she'd died all over again.

As I walk further into the apartment I notice how empty it looks. What once use to be her bedroom is now bare walls and creaking floorboards. It was like her apartment had died with her. I saw the bed frame that was drilled to the ground for some reason. Her paintings were gone. Her clothes were gone. She was gone. And the thing that disturbed me the most was the fact that none of them were coming back. And that as soon as Xander's things will take their place and that bed frame that Aria use to sleep on will be occupied by Xander.
