'Parting Ways & Promises'

Amy & Ty walked another 6 hours & watched darkness begin to creep into the forest......
On wide sections of the trail, holding hands had become their tradition; they both enjoyed the closeness. But Amy wasn't interested when Ty tried to take her hand. He noticed she was pensive & reclusive. Finally he left her alone, concluding she just needed time to herself. Ty's thoughts drifted to the last conversation he had with his commanding officer. Ty's mission to find and rescue a young woman named Amy Fleming was steeped in supposition and the gut feeling of a little old lady. But the Colonel has been around the block a few times, and knew the mysteries of women's intuition was best listened to. He didn't understand it, but he had seen it in action often. As Ty saluted & opened the door, the Colonel told Ty he had submitted paperwork for his promotion to Major. Ty wondered if Amy would be impressed or wouldn't care if he was a Major.

'Major Tyler Borden at your service ma'am'. Ty replayed his first few moments with Amy. He hoped at least her family might know the significance of rank when he met them. Many people have no clue a Major outranks a Captain.

'Hi Grandma, this is my fiancé: Major Tyler Borden'!!  'It's so nice to meet you Major Borden!! It's obvious our granddaughter adores you!!  'You're our hero for protecting Amy & bringing her safely home'!! 'She loves you, you know'!!  'We think you're awesome'!! 'Here, I baked your favorite oatmeal cookies'! 'Come in, please'!! 'This is your home now'!!
'Amy, get your grandfather and the Major a beer'!! 'Men like beer'!!  'He's so handsome Amy'!!  'Look at all the medals on his uniform'!!

His daydream ended; Ty sighed; he wondered what Amy's grandparents were really like. He didn't have a family. Maybe he could become part of theirs?? Would they like him and treat him like a son??

He tried one more time to talk with Amy. She hadn't said much since the chopper picked up Robert.

Amy, I had hoped to arrive at Base Camp tonite, but we're not going to make it. I've never camped around here, but let's look up under that ridge & in the middle of those Colorado blue spruce for a place out of sight.

I'm hungry Ty, I didn't have much for breakfast, no lunch, and I'm done with your Snickers bars. Your going to get diabetes eating those like you do!! I am?? Yes; ...........for such an intelligent man, you know nothing about nutrition. Well you sure chowed down on one the first time you met me Amy!!

Amy rolled her eyes then said; well, I guess at that point I was mesmerized by your presence Ty, like you were Superman or an angel or something!! I had heard about Marine Scouts, but assumed they were off saving the world and not 'little old me'!! Maybe I should have kissed your feet!!

But seriously, why didn't you come sooner, they beat me up twice, took my coat, threw firewood at me, fed me next to nothing & had me drink dirty water!! That weird dude with 1 eye whispered in my ear, he'd be back ‪at 5:00 am‬, 'to show me how a real man does it'. He was going to rape me Ty & I suppose you would have sat there & watc............ Amy bit her tongue.

The whole time you were out in the woods, watching me shiver; did that turn you on somehow, Ty?? Maybe I should have taken my bra off and just had a super thin, wet & tight t-shirt on!! Add some shivering & you guys get off on that, don't you!! It's all about sex for you isn't it Ty!! What were you doing out there?? Taking photos of me, or star gazing while I froze to death?? Or maybe you hadn't seen a girl in a while & you couldn't take your eyes off me?? Men and sex!! Simply amazing Ty, that you can be so controlled by your balls!!

Ty looked at Amy & saw her glaring at him,
she was angry. She was angry at him. Ty got a knot in his stomach, having a woman angry with him was worse than all his basic training torture combined.
Then you captured Robert & made sure he got a first class ticket to the base. He'll probably sleep in a bed tonight after a hot shower!!
Big meal, maybe a movie with popcorn. While I'm tired, cold, hungry, dirty, and forgotten out here in the middle of freaking no where!! Did it ever cross your sex craved mind to put me on that chopper!!
