What the hell!!  Amy, he's been shot with a homemade Rebel tranquilizer dart. Look at the burn marks, on the shaft, has to be drone launched.

Grab my bag & meet me in the kitchen; I'll need to surgically remove this. Then wake up Grandma........  I might need Anesthesia too!!

Amy's heart was racing a mile a minute; she ran upstairs & found his bag in the closet.
Here Ty, I'll get Grandma next....

.......She's putting on a robe & will be right down.
The Colonel grabbed his rifle ran & out the front door ......in his jammies!!
Ty, why would Grandma stock anesthesia equipment here??

Amy, less talk, more help; sterilize my instruments in boiling water, I need rags, and clippers to cut his fur.

Here's clippers!! Grandma exclaimed as she walked in & immediately knew just what to do....

Minutes later, .......ok, pull it out & try not to let the injector touch anything. It's design is based on a honeybee stinger. Goes in easy, barbs hold it in place..... damn Rebels!!  Bastards!!
Ty was getting madder by the minute.
This ain't happening again!!
.......Amy, can you sew him up please.

Ty connected an IV to help flush the toxins from Phantoms system.

Ty, why would the Rebels go to this much effort just to put Phantom asleep for an hour??

Amy, they weren't trying to hurt him, look, all this blood is from barbed wire tears. He ran through a fence & didn't feel any pain.
They sent a message.......

What's the message??

Well let's look at this dart.....
Ty held the tiny device with his surgical pliers, and rotated it slowly....

There!!  Stop Ty!!  See that, it's a thumb drive pushed into the wooden shaft & glued in!!

Ty grabbed hold with his tiny capillary pliers and wiggled the little drive out.

They cleaned Phantom up just as he awoke & licked Amy's nose; she held Phamtom & heard him growl .

Amy, he's a little out of it, but I think he remembers seeing whoever shot this dart!!

In a few minutes, Ty, Amy, Grandma, the Colonel, and Captain Hammond stood in Grandmas sewing room and stared at the computer monitor. The Colonel read the Rebel message out loud:

You are here-by ordered by the National Rebel Government to hand over our property within 72 hours at the east bank of the river. No guns, no weapons, no attitude. This is a simple exchange of property. In good faith, we will have 100 pounds of golden potatoes and 200 pounds of prime angus beef for you.

The items that belong to us are as follows:
Amy Fleming
Robin (last name unknown)
Shawn O'Dell

If you do not comply with this order we will kill your dog, take what is ours while you lay sleeping, and slice your testicles off.
We're done playing games Borden!!

What's that mean?? Amy asked in a shaky voice. Her hand grabbed Ty's bicep & clung to him.....

Capt. Hammond answered; Its German, a Nazi propaganda slogan, usually remembered as the sign at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
It translates...... 'Work sets you free'.

They all stared at the serious & deadly tone of the message.

The Colonel looked at Ty & asked; what are your orders sir??
