Amy was exhausted, she sent Grandma up to bed & did the dishes with Robin.
Billie & Shawn went for a short hike in the dark. Billie wanted to perfect his night vision like Batman.

Amy hugged Robin & said thank you for helping!!
I'm glad you're here Robin, I'm glad Shawn rescued you!!

His story about thinking I'm gorgeous & deciding to rescue me is so......lame & funny!!

I thought it was cute!! Robin, I've seen Shawn looking at you; it's obvious he adores you!!
You are beautiful, you know.  Amy grinned. Guys can be so...........focused on girls all the time!! Just smile at one & they think you want to jump in the sac. But Shawn, he's different.
He sees a lot more in you than your looks!!
I'd hang on to that man Robin!!

And I do love him Amy...... I'm crazy in love with Shawn!!
It's just.........can I confide in you??

Sure.

When we left his cave, Shawn made some casual comment about returning to carry on his work. Him going back to that camp & turning into Lafayette again, .....well that scares the hell out of me Amy!!

Grandmas kitchen was immaculate, Amy found some glass cleaner & polished the stove, fridge, and faucet. She folded the dishrag & towel neatly, then smiled at Robin & said; I saw a big porch out back, can we sit for a minute??

Robin nodded & followed Amy through the dining room, a sitting room, past a study / library, then out onto a beautiful old Victorian porch. A calico barn cat was asleep in a blue
comfy rocker & opened an eye to see who the new faces were. She yawned, meowed to the girls then fell back asleep.

Grandma told me her name is Callie. She just showed up after the fires. 3 of her paws were burned pretty bad. Grandma stayed up several nights & rocked Callie in that rocker.
Now she spends most nights asleep here.

Animals know when we're trying to help
them, don't you think Amy??

Yes, they're very observant and often know us better than we know ourselves.....

I can't imagine how hard it would be on you if Shawn went back. You two are a couple now.

I love Shawn more than anything.
You know he was telling about hiding in the bush & seeing me & Billie. Somehow I saw him & our eyes met. Boys are so immature, but Shawn is a man. He's only 18, but so mature & caring towards me. Amy, I love how kind he is to Billie. Shawn is all my little brother ever talks about. Shawn this and Shawn that!! Billie told me I should learn to like beets, cause Shawm likes them. Evidently vegetables bring intimacy!!

They both laughed.

You know Robin, we laugh about guys being from Mars; but it's true. They are. Ty still says things that make no sense to me. He thinks when we get to Heartland Ranch I'm going to
carry on as usual while he continues playing Scout & rescuing everyone and their brother!!
He can leave the military after 35 missions, Ty has completed 43, including me. But he wants to help more people. He says it's his duty to the Bilatteral. I told him there was no way I could be in a relationship if he's running around playing super hero with the Rebels. 

With them obsessing over torturing him for days then killing him slowly. He talks about duty, but what about the promises he's going to make to me here in a few weeks. He wants children, well he better be home and be their father.
My dad left when I was young. My children are going to have a dad every day. I love Ty, I do,
but he frustrates me. I guess all guys are like that.......
