A week later

"Dr. Crawford, were you looking for me?" I ask my boss. Dr Crawford is the director of the hospital.

"Yes, Dr. Brown. Please come in."

I couldn't move my leg. I see him. Nathan. He is inside Dr. Crawford office. What is he doing here? He's giving me a dashing smile. He looks more handsome than before. He uses in his three pieces suit. His dark hair is brushed neatly. He has stubble beard now. I wonder how it feels against my neck, all over my body.

Jesus, why is he so sexy?

"Dr. Brown?" My boss calls me.

"Oh yes, Sir. I'm sorry." I was daydreaming.

Nathan looks at me with a smirk. And then wink at me. As if he knows what I'm thinking.
I blush.

Does he know what I was thinking?

"So let me introduce you. This Mr. Smith. He said that last week you have helped his niece. And he wants to thank you. The Smiths are our big donator. They helped our hospital. Do you know that the pediatrician wing is made from his donations?"

Wow. I don't know that. He is a very nice man. And I was very rude to him.

"Hello, Dr. Brown."

"Hello, Sir." And we shake hands." I can feel some kind of electricity from our touching.

What was that?

"Dr Crawford. Do you mind if I steal some of Dr. Brown time? I want to see this hospital," Mr Smith asks.

"Of course not. Dr. Brown, please take Mr. Smith to look around the hospital."

The minute we are out of the office, I start apologizing.

"Sir, I need to apologize. I was very rude. I shouldn't act like that. I shouldn't have assumed that you are the father. Just because I see some people abandoned their kids doesn't mean that you were abandoning your child. I learned my mistake. I won't do that again. —"

"Ssshh, I'm not here to listen to you apologizing to me, darling. And stop calling me Sir. Call me Nathan, please. I told you that before."

"Okay. Nathan. But I'm really sorry."

"Stop it now. I know you're sorry. I forgive you. I must admit you were quite feisty that day. Not many people dare enough to talk like that to me. Let's take a walk. I want to see this hospital, please."

I wasn't feisty. I was rude. That's what I am. I'm lucky he doesn't sue me or report me. If walking around is what he wants, I'll do it.

"Okay, come on. I'll take you around. You'll see that we've done a very good job here. Thanks to your donations, now we have bigger wings and better facilities to help our patient."

We stroll around the hospital. I explain this and that about the hospital. I introduce him to some of the hospital staff, and I could see the women were smitten by him.

Who doesn't, right.

When I take him to the pediatrics wing, I'm a bit distracted. These children are very important to me. They aren't only my patient. I love them. And they love me too.

"Dr. Brooooowwwnnn," they are screaming at me.

"Don't run, Matthew. You're not fully recovered." I talk to a 6 year old boy.

"I missed you, Dr. Brown."

"I missed you too, sweetie. Come on, go back to your bed."

"Doctor brown! Doctor brown! Look I finished my meal!" A girl shouts at me

"Yes, you are a very smart girl, Lizzie."

These children take my attention away. I play with them. Our hospital is quite different from the others. We found that regular hospital is scary and boring for children. So we made this wing fun for children. From the design, the staff clothing, everything. We even let them play but of course under supervision. And the games don't need much energy. Singing, drawing, or watching movies are our favorite.

"Dr. Brown, who is that?" Lizzie asks me.

Oh my god. I forget about Mr. Smith.

"Hey, kids, let me introduced you to this man. This is Mr. Smith."

"Are you a doctor too, sir?" one of the kids asks.

"No. I worked at the office. It's very boring. Not like what Dr. Brown does here."

"Dr. Brown is our favorite doctor. And she is very nice. And beautiful. Are you her boyfriend?" Lizzie asks.

I blushed, "No, he is the—"
Suddenly Mathew cries. "Hey, what's wrong, bud?" I ask him.

"Doctor brown, you can only be my girlfriend. Promise me that you'll wait for me to grow up."

I laugh, "Oh, Matthew, okay, I'll wait for you and be your girlfriend. Now stop crying, please."

We continue our journey around the hospital. When we almost reach the lobby, he grabs my hand and talks.

"Let's go out tonight."

"You keep asking me to go out with you. I'm sorry but I can't."

"And I will keep asking you. Why not?"

"I'm working tonight."

"Okay, I'll pick you up tomorrow."

"I can't. I don't date with patient." And it makes him laugh.

Gosh, even his laugh is sexy.

"I'm not your patient, sweetheart."

"Yes, but you are my patient's family. Why do you keep asking me to go out you?"

"Come on, Anastasia, I'm not Shannon father. I'm just merely her uncle. Stop giving me a lame excuse. Just one night, baby." He makes my heart beats faster when he calls me with endearment.

"But why?"

Is he plotting for something bad? Oh my God, don't tell me he's into the fifty shades of grey and he wants to whip or something. I remember the movie. That Christian is also using the same expensive suit like him. And he is also handsome just like Jamie Dornan.

There are a million things go through my head.

"Stop it. Stop over calculating. I ask because I like you. And I know you feel the same way." I blush again. I drop my head. This man really knows how to push my button.

"Baby, I'll pick you tomorrow. Kay?" he lift up my chin. I'm lost in his eyes.

"Okay." And I agree to it without even thinking much more about it. He'll make me agree to anything.
