Anastasia's POV
"He is here, " I tell Bee the minute she opens the door.
"Who? Ryan Gosling?" She still makes a joke.
"Be serious! What is Ryan Gosling doing in here? I'm talking about Nathan," I scold her.
"A woman needs to have dreams. Jeez. What is that ape wants?" She becomes angry too.
"I don't know. He said he will get me back. What if he took Parker away?" I start crying. I'm so afraid of losing my son. What if he comes here to take him away from me? I mean, he already has his fiancé, he won't need me anymore.
"No. He won't. We'll make sure of that," She assures me. The usual playful Bree is gone and the serious one is here now.
In the morning, I feel restless. I can't sleep a wink. I keep thinking about Nathan. I don't know what his motives are. He made it clear that he wanted me gone before. Parker senses my mood, therefore, I make him cranky.
"I'm a sorry, baby. Mommy has a bad day. Please stop crying," I try to talk to him while I'm walking to the daycare. He keeps on crying since morning.
I have to work early today because I have a lot of patients. Monday is always the busiest. Thank God our hospital has a daycare for the staffs' children so I don't have to find a daycare. And this way, I can see my son, anytime I want. I don't have to worry about him being so far away from me.
"Good morning, Dr. Davis," one of the daycare, staff, Martha, greets me
"Hey, Martha," I greet her back.
"Hello, young man. You seem like you have a bad day." She is cooing at him. She takes him for my hand.
"He is. He's very cranky since he wakes up this morning," I agree.
"It seems like he's not the only one though," Martha says knowingly while looks at me.
Martha is in her late 50s. She is like a grandmother figure to the kids. She's a very good woman. She doesn't like to gossip with the other staffs. She takes good care of the children. I like her a lot.
"Yeah. I got to go. Thank you, Martha. Bye sweetheart," I ignore Martha and then kiss my baby lips. Not that I'm rude. I just don't want to talk about Nathan right now. I don't have the energy to think about him.
After I left Parker at the daycare, I start my day immediately. I have a lot of patients waiting for me. I don't even take my lunch. I love how busy I am. It makes me forget about my problem even just for a while. Today we are supposed to meet the new donator. But because I have too many patients, I'm not going to see the donator.
Nathan's POV
I'm standing in front of the daycare. I watch kids playing but my eyes stuck on him. My baby. My son. He's playing with a small ball with his friends. The room is surrounded by glasses so we can see them from outside while the kids are playing.
Blame team found the information for me that everyday Ana takes our son to the daycare and leaves him there until she finishes with her works. I'm glad the hospital has a daycare inside.
Suddenly he is crying. I want to hug him and calm him down. Why is he crying? A woman takes him and tries to soothe him down but he just cries even harder.
"Can I help you, Sir?" A woman asks me. I don't realize that somebody is standing beside me.
"Hi. My name is Nathan Smith. I'm the new benefactor in this hospital. Dr. Lee will meet me here. I told him I want to see around this hospital," I explain to the older woman.
"Oh, yeah, Dr. Lee told me. He said you want to see the daycare first. It's new. Normally benefactors don't come in here. Care to share why?" She looks surprised.
I just smile at her. "Can I come in?"
"Oh, how rude I am. Yeah, sure. Please." She opens the door and let me comes inside.
"Kids, meet Mr. Smith. He is a very nice gentleman. He's the new donator of this hospital," she talks to the kids and they are all staring at me. I'm sure they don't understand what she's saying.
"Can I see the babies?" I love children. But now, I only want to see him. I only want to see my boy.
"Sure, come here," she leads the way.
I walk straight to my baby. He's still crying. Another assistant is trying to hold him to calm him down but he won't stop.
"Can I?" I ask Martha if I can hold him. She stares at me.
"Your eyes." She suddenly blurts.
"Pardon?" I don't understand.
"Give Parker to Mr. Smith, Linda." She orders the assistant and Linda gives him to me immediately and leaves us.
"I should've known. That blue eyes," Marta says knowingly.
She finds out that I'm the father. I don't say anything. I don't care about anything else but my family right. I just hold my baby and try to calm him down. I learned how to deal with a baby from my niece. Eventually his crying stop, just whimpering.
Then he stares at me and tries to touch my face. He has stopped crying. I can see clearly now, he has my blue eyes and dark hair. But his smiles is Ana's. So his name is Parker. Ana gives him name my middle name.
"She's a good mom," Martha states.
"She is," I answer. Knowing that she's talking about Ana.
"I don't know what man is crazy enough to leave her and this baby," she says sarcastically.
"A stupid one," I answer truthfully.
I was stupid. If I didn't come to that stupid party. If I listen to my wife. I won't be separated from my family.
