Anastasia's POV
When I open my room, I'm surprised. Nathan is sitting inside my examination room.
"What are you doing, here? I'll call security. I'm not bluffing," I'm pissed. Why doesn't he just leave me alone? And what the hell is he doing here?
"Go ahead. I already have approval from Dr. Lee. Everybody knew I'm here to see you," he looks chill. As if nothing's wrong. Who does he think he is?
"What do you want?" I grit my teeth. Surely he's here for a reason.
"I want my family back, Ana," he stands up and stands in front of me. He looks so serious.
"My name is not Ana," I stare at him. He sighs.
"Ana, please, listen to me," somehow he looks sad. I open my wallet to throw my ID to him.
"Check it out, my name is not Ana," I challenge him. I want him gone. Away from my life.
"I know you have changed your name. But you're still Ana to me," he shakes his head. His eyes are looking at me with full of emotion.
"I think you mistake me with someone else, Sir," I want him gone. Now. I don't want to see him looking at me like that.
"You're my wife, Ana. And don't call me Sir. You know I hate that," he looks pissed. Good. Because he pissed me off too. I glare at him.
"I'm not. I have signed the divorce papers. Don't you try to pretend as if you forget about it," I can't believe he just said that. After what has he done, he wants me to forget it?
"I never submit the paper," he admits. I gasp.
"You what?" I can't believe this. Is this some kind of a joke for him?
"Let me explain to you tonight. This is not the place. I will come to your house tonight. Unless you want us to fight in your workplace," he challenges me back. Asshole.
"Like hell you are. None of the choices is good enough. I will never see you again," I raise my voice. I don't care if anybody is listening to us.
"I'm still Parker's father, Ana. I want to see my son," he declares. Now he wants to say that he's Parker's father? Where was he before? Does he think I will forget what he did before? Does he think I will forgive and accept him just like that?
"You signed the agreement, Nathan. He's not yours. He's mine," I remind him. He divorced me when I'm carrying my baby. He doesn't care about Parker before.
"I never signed it, Ana. You did," he tells me.
That makes me think. I remember I signed everything. But he was right. I never saw him sign anything. Shit. I'm so stupid. After I signed everything, I left his parents house immediately, I didn't stay to see him sign the papers.
"You said your lawyer will process it," I'm so angry right now.
"I lied," he just shrugs his shoulder.
"You're crazy," I want to hit him right now.
"I'll explain tonight," he repeats.
"You're not coming to my house," I remind him.
"I am. And remember, I am Parker's father. I can ask my lawyer to sue you for taking him away. Kidnapping him." Oh my God. Is this some kind of nightmare?
"You're insane. You can't just ambush me like this and threaten me," I'm so afraid. What if I lose my baby?
"I can and I will. I lost a year of my time with my family. I won't lose any more time. I'll see you tonight, my love," he smiles. He fucking smiles. How can he just smile after he threatens me?
We're so deep in glaring at each other. I want to kill him right now actually.
Knock knock.
Someone just knocks on my door. Nathan opens it. Dr. Lee is standing in front of the door. He's smiling at me.
Nathan's POV
"Dr. Davis, let me introduce you to Mr. Smith," he says cheerfully.
"I already introduced myself, Dr. Lee," I tell him. What is this asshole doing here?
"Okay, so what are you guys talking about?" He looks curious.
"Kinds of Stuff. Why Dr. Lee, don't you trust your most favorite doctor to have a meeting with me?" I challenge him.
When he doesn't say anything, I continue my talk.
"So, I have to go now. I'll see you tonight, Dr. Davis." I don't give him a chance to answer me. I know for a fact that he's here because he is claiming his territory.
"Tonight?" Dr. Lee asks. I smirk while she glares at me. Her looks are like shooting daggers.
I go directly to the daycare. I can't help it. I need to see my little man. I see him right away. He is playing with Martha. I go straight to him and pick him up. I kiss all over his face. He laughs happily. I love that sound. It's like music to my ear. This little man and his mother have me on their grasp. I'll move the earth for these two.
"He was crying after you left," Martha suddenly talks to me. I don't know what to say. I hate seeing him crying.
"Spend time with him. He misses his father," Martha says.
And then she leaves me alone.
I spend my time with him for hours until it's nap time. He sleeps in my arm. He looks peaceful. I regret leaving him and Ana all this time."I'll come back again, my son. I will win your mother's heart again. You have to be on my side, okay buddy?" I whisper. I kiss his head and I put him in his bed.
