I'm going to meet Nate's parents today. What if they don't like me? What if my clothes are too usual? But Nate said I should just use jeans and casual clothes. Am I overthinking again?

"Take a deep breath, sweetheart," Nate speaks to me.

We are on our way to meet his parents with his driver driving us.

"I'm nervous."

"I know."

"What if they don't like me?"

"They will."

"What if my clothes are too casual?"

"It's not."

"Shouldn't we bring something"

"No, mom said everything is already prepared. And you bring cake. That's enough."

"I'm sorry. I'm overthinking again."

"And you should be relaxed, honey. It will be fine."

"It's my first time to meet a man's parents like this."

"And hopefully you won't meet another man's parent like this again." And then he kisses my lips.

Oh, God. What is he saying?

We continue the drive in silence. He is smiling all the way and I'm deep in thought.

"Nathan! Welcome," I see a beautiful older woman in front of the door their mansion. Yes, mansion. This is not a house. Even the garden is bigger than my house.

"Hey, Mom," he kisses his mom.

"And you must be Dr. Anastasia Brown," she sees me with smiling. No judging in her eyes. She is beautiful. She has black curly hair with grey eyes. Clearly, Nathan has her hair and lips.

"Call me Ana, please, Mrs. Smith,"

"And you call me Dona. Come on, let's get inside. Everybody's been dying to see you, beautiful."

"Dr. Brown!" Jenny calls me.

"Call me Ana, please."

"How are you, Ana? Thank you for your help the other day. Although I don't know who is luckier, my daughter because she met a good pediatrician or my brother?" And then she winks to her brother, Nathan.

"Definitely I am luckier." And then he kisses my cheek.

"Nate!" I scold him. But he just laughs and grabs my hand to get inside the living room.

I find Shannon sits on the floor with a nanny. She's playing with some dolls. There is also an older man with blonde hair and blue eyes. This might be Mr. Smith. He might be in the late 50s. But his body doesn't show it. He clearly works out regularly.

"Welcome to our house," he greets me. He also seems to be a nice person.

"Hello, Sir. I'm Ana."

"Call me Brandon." His wife comes to us and stands by his side.

"Take a seat, Ana," she says. "I'm going to prepare the food in the kitchen, dear," she says to her husband.

"Let me help you."

"Sure, thank you."

I help Donna prepares the food. Everything is almost ready. I only need to do some plating and garnish.

"Do you like to cook?"

"Yes, whenever I'm off, I like to bake some cakes with my mother. But we cook our own food most of the time."
