A week later

"Hello," I pick up my phone.

"Hey, Ana. This is Jenny."

"Oh, hey, what's up?"

"Are you busy tomorrow? I ask Nate and he said you're off tomorrow."

"Yeah, I'm off tomorrow."

"Cool, Mom and I will pick you up tomorrow around 9 AM, okay?"

"Oh? We're going somewhere?"

"Yeah, we're going to hunt our dress for fundraiser night."

"Oh, Jenny, you don't have to do that. I can use one of my dresses."

"Oh come on, I have no sister. I always want to do girly stuff with a sister."

"Mmm..."

"Tell her, we won't accept rejection," I hear Mrs. Smith's voice.

"You heard the woman, Ana."

"Hahaha, okay. I'll see you tomorrow."

I hope that our shopping tomorrow will be nice. I'm going to call Nathan to let him know.

"Hi, baby." He picks up immediately.

"Hi."

"So Jenny called you already."

"Yeah, I'm going out with your mom and Jenny tomorrow. Your mom says, she won't accept rejection."

"Hahaha. You have to be careful with my mom."

"Is it okay if I go out with them?"

"Babe, I give them your number. I would love to see you spending some good time with my mom and sister."

"Okay. When will you come home?" He's in LA now for business matters.

"I'll arrive in New York tomorrow. How I wish to see you right now."

"Me too. Nate, I got to go. I got a consult."

"Okay, see you soon, sweetheart."

"Bye."

No matter how many times we talk he always makes my heart flutters. Everything about us is great. Sometimes I wonder if there's something bad waiting for us.

Next day

"Hi, Mrs. Smith, Jenny." They pick me up from my home. Fortunately, my mom already goes to work or this is going to be awkward.

"Ready, to go?" Mrs. Smith asks.

"Yeah, let's go."

"No more, Mrs. Smith, Ana. I feel like Angelina Jolie now. Although my husband is as good looking as Brad Pitt."

"Hahaha. Okay, Donna."

"Jake, Nathan's driver, will take us shopping."

"Okay, let's go." I see there are two cars waiting in front of my house. A black limo and a black SUV.

We arrive in a luxury store. And when we go inside I know that these are out of my reach. No way I can afford these clothes. I see some of the clothes and there is no price tag. Donna and Jenny are busy picking some dresses.

"Do you see anything you like?" A shop assistant comes to me.

"Oh, no. I'm just looking."

"This will look nice on you. You should try it." She shows me a dress. It is a very nice dress. I don't dare to try it. It looks very expensive.
