Rai is a very powerful noble, who wakes up in Korea after centuries of resting. He eventually converges with Kiara,who is an idol-or maybe, something more than just that. He claims that he knows about who she truly is, but she doesn't have a clue he...
"Oh heck, I'm late again! Bingewatching till dawn before school is never a good idea." Kiara screeched as she sprinted across the street thoughtlessly.
Her tangled platinum hair bounced over her shoulders as she kept on running sloppily. She clearly wasn't a morning person- and her scrunched face showed.
She felt a painful slap on her back which made her shriek in pain. She looked over to her shoulder to see a lean redhead wearing the same uniform as her, presumably late himself. Kiara gave him the most threatening look imaginable.
"If you hit me one more time, Shinwoo Han, I'll actually make you regret it."
"Geez, why so cranky? Did you stay up all night again?" Shinwoo's face displayed rather an unbothered expression, like he had expected this.
"What about you? Playing videogames and daydreaming about Yuna again? I know you well enough, Shinwoo."
Shinwoo scratched the back of his head, quietly admitting to the accusation. Eventually, the both were running for their lives to make it on time. Finally, they stepped foot on Ye Ran High. Well, almost. They were welcomed by a not-so-pleased teacher, his arms crossed as he stoood in front of the gate.
"Well, well, well...if it isn't the two biggest atrocities of the school. God knows what I did in my past life to deal with your daily shenanigans."
Shinwoo and Kiara exchanged nervous glances, gulping at the same time. There was no getting away this time.
"I apologize on behalf of us both, Mr. Park. Please be kind enough to let us go just this once. We promise this won't happen in the future." Kiara smiled innocently at the broad figure with puppy eyes that no longer worked on him.
"This is what you say every time, Kiara. Gosh, I'm absolutely done with you two. Just run 10 laps of the school and get out of my sight." Mr Park sighed.
"10 LAPS?! Do you wish to kill us?!" The two students yelled in unison.
"If only it were that easy..." The teacher whispered to himself.
The laps were taking what seemed to be an eternity to Shinwoo and Kiara. As if the running they did while coming to school was meaningless, they thought. As they ran, the teacher continued to lecture them severely on how a student should behave and how irresponsible both of them are.
The punishment session was interrupted by a tall, slender student in uniform entering the school premises. Even from afar, he stood out almost immediately.
"You! You're that good-looking dude I bumped into earlier!" Shinwoo suddenly burst out, pointing at the mysterious figure's face shamelessly.
"Shinwoo, do you know this guy?" Kiara jumped in, curious.
"Not really, I met him while I was running to school today."
"But...why is it that he came so late to school?" Kiara, Shinwoo, and Mr Park exclaimed together as they goggled at the male.
"Hey, I've never seen you around before. Are you a transfer student?" Kiara leaned over to face him.
And their eyes met.
The student had an unsettling aura about him. An aura that sent chills down Kiara's spine. An aura she couldn't figure out. His expressionless face was beyond unreadable. However, he was probably the most beautiful individual she ever laid her eyes on. So beautiful he didn't seem...human. He studied Kiara for a brief moment before his eyes widened. Kiara flinched, worried if her bare face had somehow freaked him out. It only made sense after all. She reluctantly stepped back to hide behind Shinwoo.
Mr Park came forward to ask about his whereabouts. Unable to get out any information out of him, they concluded he was a foreign student who wasn't familiar with their language. He didn't seem to have any problem with that assumption.
"I'll let you two leave this time as we have a new student here. Make sure this doesn't happen again." The exhausted teacher finally gave in.
"Yes sir! You're the best!" Shinwoo and Kiara squealed victoriously, giving each other high fives.
They left Mr Park with the transfer student and merrily went to their classroom, their arms intertwined- oblivious to what was yet to come.
