[Third person pov]
Deep within the forrest we see a small child sitting in panic and shaking with fear. This child is none other than Y/N Vermillion Dragneel. He was told by his parents to run away in order to save himself from being killed by Zeref worshipers. After a few hours of running/walking through the forrest he crouched down next to a tree to catch a breath. His mind was filled with different thoughts, 'are my parents dead', 'will I ever see them again', 'what was that noise', 'I feel like something bad is about to happen'. He forces himself to shake off his nervous behavior and to continue walking through the trees.
After another hour of walking, a repetitive loud noise is heard from above. 'What is that? It sounds like a thunder, but there are no fluffy things in the sky.' Soon, a large shadow appears above the small child before suddenly landing in front of him. The force of the impact shook the ground beneath the child causing him to lose balance and fall over. The dragon looks at the boy and speaks. "Child, what are you doing in this forrest all by yourself?" The boy, already having trouble communicating with others, could only pick up a stick and draw messily in the dirt, "running from home." "Why would you do such a thing? Where are your parents?" the dragon asked. "Mom and dad told me to run away. I don't know where they are now" is all the child wrote. The dragon looked at the kid with sympathy before talking again. "If you are far away now, would you like to live with me?" The child thought for a few minutes, contemplating whether or not he should trust the giant beast. After coming to a decision, he wrote on the ground, "Yes." The dragon smiled at the boy said, "Very well. I am Elementium, the elemental dragon king. What is your name? Can you speak?" The boy replied nervously, "I-I-I'm Y-Y/N V-V-Vermil-l-lion D-Drag-gneel." The dragon smiled before having the child climb on its back and then takes off flying towards his cave. Elementium focuses on the power the child has and realizes that the child has a very dark aura mixed with a very bright aura. Pushing the thoughts away, the dragon continues his flight towards his home.
*Time skip 1 year*
Over the course of a year, Y/N warmed up to being near Elementium and could soon talk to him without stuttering. Elementium started teaching more about reading and writing, along with basic mathematics and science fitting for the child's age. He soon realized that the boy took to mathematics and science like a human would to breathing. He came up with the idea of creating mind puzzles for the child and teaching him how to play chess. Elementium would soon start to train the child in his magic and see if he could figure out why the child has such a confusing aura.

Y/N finally started his training in magic with Elementium. Although... Elementium soon realized an issue with how Y/N learns. The two are currently seen outside trying to get Y/N to produce a flame in his hand. "Okay Y/N, I want you to feel the fire flow through your body. I want you to then focus the fire into your hands. This should produce a small ball of fire" Elementium said. Y/N struggled for a few minutes before turning to the dragon and asking, "How do you feel fire in your body? I can't tell if what I'm feeling is fire or just my body's natural temperature." Elementium was perplexed at this question. Never has he had to describe how to feel fire flowing through his body. So, Elementium did the only thing he could, he focused on how he felt when using fire magic, and explained to Y/N what he should feel. "You should feel like you are standing near a campfire. When you focus the energy to your hand, it should feel like you are holding your hand over the flame." Y/N nods his head in understanding and tries again for a few more minutes. After a couple more minutes, a small ball of yellowish red fire appears in Y/N hands. "I did it!" Y/N shouted. The child spent another minute before another ball of fire appeared in his other hand. Elementium laughed at the child's excitement before seeing the child had started manipulating the fire to swirl around him and create large sparks in front of him. Seeing all the plants near by and how they could catch on fire easily, Elementium stopped Y/N from almost causing a forrest fire. The two continued the training inside the cave before getting some sleep for the night.
*Time skip brought to you by chibi Y/N running around freaking out about an squirrel grazing his leg*
After many years of mental, physical, and magical training, the now 11 year old Y/N had finally learned all he could from Elementium. From solving differential equations to understanding how quantum mechanics works on Earthland, Y/N had absorbed the math and sciences at an extremely fast speed. His magic power had increased to the point where now Y/N can go head to head against Elementium at his full power. Not that Y/N ever one any of those fights, he was too much of a pacifist to ever go for a powerful strike that would would Elementium severely.
It was a few years into Y/N training that Elementium realized what was causing Y/N weird aura. He had Ankhseram living/death magic. It explained so much when he would randomly see patches of dead plants and animals and then another patch of fully grown beautiful trees and plants. Deciding that this magic was far too dangerous to have Y/N wielding at random, he decided to train Y/N in that magic and then seal it away along with his knowledge of its existence. 'It's for Y/N's own good that he should forget this type of magic. There's no way to predict what would happen to him if people were to find out that he was born with Ankhseram living/death magic. Although, I don't think it's possible to get rid of the aura he gives off. I hope nothing bad happens to him.'
*Timeskip 2 years*
After finally training Y/N to control his living/death magic, Elementium gave Y/N a gift before going to sleep. A large black cloak that adjusts to his size and also fire proof and a white dragon scale scarf with golden flame patterns on it that is also fire proof. After all these years of living with Y/N, the dragon held the boy high in his heart with pride. Even though Y/N has his drawbacks and odd habits, he is still the lovable genius that he raised. All he wishes, is for Y/N to finally come out of his shell, and to be able to express himself. Elementium reflects on all of the things he explained to the boy. He even explained to Y/N how unlike other dragon slayers who have a seed implanted in them, he is physically changed into part dragon and part human. Elementium gives a soft chuckle when thinking about how the boys was so excited when he found out he was part dragon. Sadly, he cannot keep him here for long and must eventually send him to the future where he will hopefully make friends and go on great adventures. 'You will do well Y/N. Just believe in yourself and trust your instincts. Farewell my son, and may we meet again someday.' The dragon shifted in his sleep before feeling himself grow lighter and lighter until his body is turned to glowing dust and whisked away into the night.
