Sheldon

Well well well, here we go again. My name is Sheldon Harris III and I am a girl, but I'll get back to that later. I am also English. I started my job as hair stylist to touring bands in 2013 when I was newly 20 years old under the apprenticeship of Lou Teasdale due to a friend pulling a few strings. I soon became a licensed cosmetologist and now I run my own shop and I am the exclusive hair stylist to 5 Seconds of Summer.

I met them on the Take Me Home tour with One Direction. I helped Lou by doing the opener's hair. It was destiny for me to meet them. Ever since I've been doing their hair for all their tours, and this one is no different.

"Shelly!" Ashton said into the phone, "We need you! Come by mine in about 45 minutes." He said before hanging up. I sighed and put my phone in my back pocket.

I called the secretary over and told her to call all my clients after 3 and reschedule with them. I was in the salon after all. I went to the dryer to check my current client's highlights and decided she was ready for styling.

I knew I couldn't tell her why the hurry but she knew it was urgent. With Ashton everything was urgent. Everything.

When I finally bid her adieu I ran out the door and I called an Uber to Ashton's house. (I don't drive.) I didn't know what he could possibly need. Last time it was because he tried to use a store brand of hair dye and he was experiencing breakage. Basically I gave him a trim and he was fine but he was always a drama queen about his hair.

"Shelly!" Ashton said as I came in the house. I hated when he called me Shelly. It made me sound like an old lady and I was far from and old lady.

"Yes, Ashy?" I asked making him frown.

"Tour! We have an idea for a tour!" He pulled me into the living room where sat Calum, Luke, and Michael. They all greeted me and I waved.

"How have you guys been?" I asked sitting down on an armchair and crossing my legs up under me.

"They're great, now tour idea." Ashton said sitting in the opposite chair, "We want to do a small tour. But we know we can't with our fanbase. So-"

"We need to find a way to tour without people crowding out the venues." Luke cut in, "but that's not your problem, we just need to know if you can come with us to do our hair and makeup." He added glaring at Ashton. He had a tendency to drag me into things that aren't my problem.

"Of course I can. You guys are first priority." I shrugged, "When is it?" I asked.

"July." Calum said, "Pretty soon."

"Pretty soon?" I asked, "That's next month! I would have to cancel so many appointments!" I frowned, "This better be worth it." I said after a minute. I wasn't about to let them go without me.

"Don't even worry about it." Cal said shrugging. As they talked on and on I turned on some music and tried to follow their line of conversation. It was shockingly harder to follow than it should've been. Once numbers came into it I completely zoned out and started texting my clients. I was about to have a hellscape of a month trying to squeeze them all in.

"Shel, what is this?" Michael asked me. I looked up and frowned.

"Oh, this is Lennon McCaffrey." I said, "I thought you guys knew about her." They all shook their heads. "She is great! What a great chick. Real rocker. She was trying to find a tour to join last I heard." I shrugged and glanced back down at my phone before a thought struck me.

They were jammering on about how she could open for them when I cut in with the best idea in the world.

"Why not lie to people?" I asked, "Have Lennon 'headline'," air quotes, "and you guys just tour instead. She can open for you but then you guys come on after her." I shrugged. They were thinking about it in the kind of way you would humor a child's idea to catch a salamander and teach it to tap dance.
