Calum

I came out of my room feeling good and ready for the day. Yesterday had been a step in a direction I was very excited to go. All day Daniel wanted to spend time with me. We had lunch together and we talked about a lot of dumb shit. I was feeling really close to him now and I was getting a bit more confident about maybe making a real move.

Only every time I found an in, I chickened out. Being with a guy was something I've never ever done before. I hardly knew how to approach it.

I had a really big chance last night. Daisy had asked Daniel to help her with some management stuff for Lennon and he asked me to keep him company. So we sat in my room and watched tv and ate dinner and I watched him fill out flow charts and send emails for a while. Right before he finished I looked over his shoulder and watched him type up some info on Lennon and the type of music she played.

Apparently Daisy was trying to plan a tour for her in the US and Canada after this one. We were definitely gonna give her a big boost and Daisy was snatching it while she could. Smart of her.

I put my chin on Daniel's shoulder and he stopped typing. "What are you doing?" He giggled. I looked over at him, prepared to answer something quippy and clever but he was so close to me. I thought about kissing him. I really did.

It would have been fine. He seemed amused by me being this close to him. He was into it. He smelled so good, like old spice and cigarette smoke. Did he smoke?

But I got scared and moved away instead. What if I was reading it all wrong? What if I kissed him and he didn't like it? Worse what if I kissed him and he didn't even want to hang out with me anymore? I couldn't ruin it. I couldn't jump the gun and get too far ahead of myself.

I regretted that, but now I felt good. He slept in my room last night. I don't think any cuddling happened, but he was comfortable enough to sleep in the same bed as me. I liked waking up next to him.

I saw Lennon coming out of Ashton's room and I narrowed my eyes at her. "Whatcha doin, Buddy?" I asked laughing lightly when she got a bit startled by me.

"Uh...nothin'." She said her cheeks getting pink. That meant it was definitely somethin'. Why would she sleep in Ashton's room?

"Are you okay?" I asked, a bit concerned now. I don't think she and Ashton were that close. Honestly she mostly seemed to keep to herself. I took a little bit of pride in being her friend. Until now I thought I was the only one in my band that could say that.

"I'm fine." She said with a smile. It looked a bit forced and I wondered what Ashton did to her now. What an awful conclusion to jump to. "Oh I noticed you and Daniel were a bit chummy yesterday." She nudged my arm suddenly changing the subject.

"I think...." I glanced back to my door. It was closed so I was sure Daniel - who was still asleep - couldn't hear me. "I think he likes me."

"Are you still trying to figure that out?" She giggled, "I thought we already established that."

"I dunno!" I laughed back, "I keep getting confused and anxious. I almost kissed him last night."

"Oh my god, really?" She grinned. She looked thrilled. "What stopped you?"

"I never kissed a guy before." I shrugged. It was really that simple. "I mean not seriously! Not like I meant it."

"Fair." She shrugged. Ashton's door opened up and he stepped out dressed and freshly showered. We both looked his way and he looked a bit like he wished he'd stayed in his room. Lennon fidgeted a bit but she waved to him.
