Calum

I didn't like Lennon. Not romantically anyway. She was great, but it was obvious we were not meant to be in that kind of relationship. It was fine. It just meant we could be friends without trying to figure out weird tension in the way.

I didn't get much sleep anyway. After kissing her I felt much better. The awkward 'maybe' was gone so I felt normal again. And then Daniel showed up.

I don't know what was happening. He didn't even speak to me. He looked at Lennon the whole time. Something in me did a backflip and the jittery gut feeling was back.

It was for that guy out across the hall with Lennon.

That was new.

It kept me awake most of the night. When I finally did go to sleep, I was woken up by a knock in my door. It was soft, like whoever it was wasn't sure about it. It still woke me up. I obviously wasn't sleeping very hard.

I opened the door to Daniel looking sleepy but ready for the day. He had on a blue button up shirt that made his eyes brighter and he had on a pair of tight black skinny jeans. The sleeves of his shirt were rolled up. He had a tattoo of a band of flowers on his right forearm.

"Uh, hey?" I cleared my throat, trying to wake my voice up a little bit.

"Good morning, Miss Hellen sent me to get you up." Daniel said blushing a little bit. Why? Why was he blushing? I noticed he was looking anywhere but at me. I looked at me and found I was literally standing in front of him in my underwear. My arm instinctively moved across my chest, because I'm ridiculous like that.

"Uh I was awake...mostly....already...." I stammered, "tha....thanks...."

"Of course." Daniel smiled and I closed my door quickly. My heart was pounding in my chest. I felt warm and a bit embarrassed. This had never ever happened to me before. Not with a guy before. Hardly ever this intense with a girl before.

I pushed any thoughts of Daniel to the back of my mind. I had to. I had things I needed to focus on instead.

After getting dressed, I went down to the lobby to leave. I saw Lennon and Sheldon giggling so I hopped over to them. Before I could say hello or before Sheldon could even try to tease me about Lennon, Daniel walked up. My hands got all clammy so I shoved them into my pockets.

"I'm taking coffee orders." He said waving a pen and paper around.

He took down orders on paper when he could just use his phone. He could just put a request for coffee orders in the group chat. But he used paper and pen instead. Adorable.

"Cal, you want coffee?" He brought my attention back to the present and I looked at Lennon and Sheldon. I didn't want them to see me staring at him and I definitely didn't want them to know I wasn't paying attention.

"Uh yeah just....regular....hot....coffee...." my voice gave out at the end, but Daniel wrote it down before turning to head on his way.

"Regular hot coffee?" Sheldon asked with a laugh. I didn't get a chance to try and play it off as being tired or something. We were late and Hellen was already in a mood about it.

Everyone was in a weird mood. Ashton and Sheldon seemed to be fighting which wasn't out of the ordinary. Sheldon mostly talked to Lennon while Ashton tried not to look at her.
