Ashton
I was woken up pretty rudely. After finally talking to Lennon about us we decided to give it a try and so I stayed with her in her room. And no, we didn't do anything. We were all pretty tired after a massive show that none of us were ready for so we just slept.
I went into my room to get my stuff together but I found that it was already packed up and on the bus. There were just two coffees sitting on the table in the hallway waiting. Lennon came up behind me with her suitcase rolling behind her.
"Oh! Coffee, nice." She seemed to be in a better mood than she was the night before. She barely performed with us she was so mad. I was glad she felt better but we felt horrible our manager ended up commandeering the tour to make it ours like that. I mean that was the original plan but the fact that it wasn't hers at all now was irritating to more than just her.
When we got to the bus I found Luke, Cal, and Sheldon all watching a shitty 1980's buddy cop film. They couldn't figure out what was going on but they were providing a (apparently) hilarious commentary about the whole thing. I could see Michael's arm hanging out of his bunk and Daniel was asleep on the couch across from where Luke and Sheldon were.
Gang was all here. As we got closer to the airport I saw Sheldon getting more and more nervous. Her commentary was getting slowly quieter and quieter. I made eye contact with her and I frowned.
I mouthed at her, 'You okay?' she just shrugged in response. I was confused until I remembered every single flight I've ever been on with her. She hates flying. A lot. I found myself hoping I could sit next to her on the plane but I also knew that Lennon was already worried that me and Shel would fuck around behind her back. I felt conflicted.
When we got to the airport I pulled Lennon aside to ask what she thought. We were getting on a pretty small plane so the likelihood that there would only be two seats was pretty high.
"I need to talk to you." I said in a small voice. She looked worried before nodding. We stepped away from the group and I frowned, "Sheldon hates flying. And I usually sit next to her and we talk and I distract her. But I don't want you to think anything by it. Sheldon is my best friend." I was trying to figure out if I had made the right move by saying that to her but she nodded.
"I have a lot to catch up on with Cal anyway." She shrugged, "And I doubt we would be that far from one another anyway." We both nodded in agreement and turned around to board the plane.
I sat down next to Sheldon but she already had headphones in. She had her eyes closed and she was breathing deeply. I grabbed her hand out of habit and she smiled before squeezing my hand back. She didn't open her eyes or say anything to me until about an hour into the flight.
"Len okay with you sitting here? Hate to make her mad." She said cracking open one eye. I chuckled and let go of her hand to turn the page of my book.
"We talked about it. She's sitting with Cal to catch up on any drama she missed." I smiled. My feelings for Sheldon were still very present. I loved her a lot but despite them being real and still around the were different. I wanted to hold her hand and be around her, but it was more like how I wanted to be around my sister or brother, and hold their hands and be around them.
"Did you talk to her though?" She asked sitting up and pulling her window shade down. I smiled.
"Of course." I shook my head like I couldn't believe that she would ask me that. "How about you? Did you talk to either of your fellas?" I understood if she hadn't. The possibility that she could get a hold of both of them, one due to different time zones and the other being as busy as her if not more, was high. Making me all the more surprised when she said she had.
"Well, sorta." I was less surprised at that. "I mean. I got Will to answer, and we broke up. My stuff is going to a coworker's house so no big. But Harry was probably busy. He told met to call him so I know he's still expecting me." she shrugged. "I just hope I can catch him before he moves to the next show." I frowned.
"Is he still in Perth?" I asked. I thought he would've moved on after the first night. I was only two days since he left anyway. She nodded.
"For now." she said peeking under the window cover. "He's going, of all places, to Adelaide today." I laughed.
"What are the odds." I leaned back and tried to sleep even though Sheldon was still talking about Harry and William. Sheldon punched me in the arm what felt like two minutes after I drifted off. Turns out that she actually punched me two hours later when we were about to land.
"Asshole." She grumbled under her breath, "I can't believe you actually fell asleep on me. This is an outrage." She shook her head and adjusted her seat belt so that it was tighter on her, if it was possible.
"It's okay." I said grabbing her hand and stopping her from accidentally hurting herself with the seatbelt. She sighed and turned the ring on my finger around a few times.
by the time we had landed she was gripping my and so hard I was sure my fingers were purple. She was the first one off the plane. I could tell she was about to freak out so I just watched her run. By the time I was off the plane she was already across the airport apparently. She had found her long lost Harry and they were talking before he left for Adelaide. She was going to see him in about two days but they thought they would take this opportunity to see one another.
I found out she was with him this time because she called me to let me know.
"Don't worry, you didn't lose me! I am at a different terminal with Harry. He called me when he saw on the boards that we were all unloading." She was clearly happy with him.
"Awesome. Where are you so when he leaves you aren't alone." I asked. She told me which terminal and I started my way over there. I knew Helen said no running off but whatever. She had to know I was going to run off anyway.
As I walked past baggage claim I felt someone grab my hand. It was Lennon.
"If you thought I didn't want to see you beat the shit out of Harry Styles, you're wrong." She smiled. I shook my head at her.
"I'm not going to beat him up. I just want to make sure Sheldon doesn't get lost. She's never been here before and Lord knows she would just panic." I chuckled as she started swinging our arms.
"Sheldon is baby." She laughed. I agreed.
"Sheldon has always been baby." I laughed back, "I just hope Harry knows what he's getting into." I said as we stepped into the waiting area for his flight. Immediately saw them trying, and failing, to do some random yoga pose. They were laughing and trying to tip the other one over. They did look good together. I frowned a little.
Even though I was with Lennon and happy I was still a little bummed I didn't get to have that story line. It felt like it would've been a wild ride.
