I was getting Ashton ready for the show while the other four were avoiding me. As I slicked his hair back with a grimace he laughed.

"You made that exact face when you cut off my fringe." He tilted his head back to look at me. I rolled my eyes.

"I remember. I hate this hairstyle more though." I said tossing my comb onto my counter. He laughed and stood up. "I swear, say the word and I'll cut you a fringe. I'll cut you a damn good fringe." I said it twice for emphasis.

"Thanks, love." He said kissing my cheek. My heart fluttered, and I hated it. I hated that I liked when he kissed my cheek. I hated that sometimes it was everything within my power to not call up William and break up with him. But Ashton was still my boss and I wasn't about to muddy that water. The problem was that I knew he would be up for it if I was.

"Hi! I'm here to be styled!" Lennon said happily snapping me out of my thoughts. I absentmindedly touched my cheek as she came up to me. Calum was following close behind. Right, he didn't think she was cute.

"Have a seat my dear." I said shaking out my cape and gesturing to the my salon ready chair.

When she sat down I instantly decided what I wanted to do. I loosely curled the ends of her hair and applied probably too much hairspray. Once she was done and out of the seat I snapped my fingers and pointed to the chair. A gesture Calum knew as 'you. here. now.'

He rolled his eyes and sat down. I gestured to Lennon covertly and put a hand over my heart before feigning a swoon. Cal frowned at me and shook his head quickly.

Lennon was confused at the silent conversation but she quietly scampered off to sound check.

"Hair time!" I said happily until she was around the corner and far enough away that she wouldn't hear us. "So, Lennon. She's cute." I was on a mission to find Calum a girlfriend and Lennon was perfect.

"Can you stop?" He asked, "I appreciate you trying to find me a girlfriend but this is the worst choice." I rolled my eyes at his stubbornness.

"Why? She's cute, she Maori, she's musically inclined, and even better she's contractually obligated to be near you for 2 weeks!" I said running pomade through his hair. He shook his head and rolled his eyes. "Sit still would you?"

"What time is it." He asked. I checked my watch.

"Uhh, 5:30. Why?" I wasn't thrilled with this change in conversation.

"I have soundcheck?" He sighed and stood up. I scrunched up my nose as he ripped off the cape and threw it back in the chair. Touchy much?

I went looking for Michael next. I grabbed his arm and we went so I could style his hair. He fought me the whole way to my station.

"My hair looks fine though." He whined. I narrowed my eyes at him and shrugged.

"You get off easy this time, Clifford." He laughed and ran to change his clothes. All of them but Luke was done. I just had to find him.

Fun fact: I did not find him. The next time I saw him was when he walked out on stage. The crowd reaction was in-fucking-sane. Everyone that was so excited for Lennon was even more excited for the guys. It was crazy the instant turn around. I glanced around and saw countless people reaching for their no-longer-held phones. Looks of panic before ease beset them.

"I'm sure you've noticed, we are not Lennon." Luke said. I was mad that he didn't let me do a cut crease on him, his glittery eyeshadow was getting everywhere. "Now, Lennon doesn't let people have their phones at her shoes and this one is no different. You're also not allowed to talk about this to anyone. It's a secret."

"Secret tour." Michael echoed, "No telling!" The crowd cheered more and a few people said 'I promise'. I almost believed them.

The actual show went okay. Lennon even joined them on stage for a few songs.

The guys and Lennon were going out that night as a tradition so I had a night to myself. Again.

I decided to call William. I had promised to call every night but I had forgotten the night before. It was midnight here so that meant that it was 7 am in LA. It was a toss up whether he was awake or not, worth a try.

The ringing with no response made me a little sad but I tried to move past it. Instead I decided to watch a movie. I was somehow still awake when they all came back from the bar, or club, or wherever they decided to go.

I knew they were back due to the soft knock at my door. I got up to answer it. Ashton stood there, clearly drunk.

"What can I do for you Mr. Irwin?" I asked. He just shoved past me and face planted on my bed. I shook my head and closed the door to my room. This wasn't the first time he came to me drunk for nothing more than company, or at least that's what I assumed he wanted. He never acted past that.

I took his suit jacket off of him and threw it on the chair by the window. Next I pulled his shoes off and hurled them toward the door. Then after a moment of contemplation I pulled the small trash can over to the bed. I didn't want to be cleaning up puke.

Grabbing two bottles of water I tried to get back in bed. He was in the actual middle, making me groan.

"Pick a side." I grumbled at him. He didn't move. I rolled him to the far side of the bed and snuggled back down to finish my movie.

We were leaving the next morning super early and I was not looking forward to it. So I procrastinated going to sleep and scrolled through twitter for what felt like hours.

So far the Twitter scene was pretty quiet, one or two people said something about how it would be cool if they did a show while they were home, home being in Australia. But no one really mentioned how they did a show in Australia. I relaxed knowing that tomorrow would probably be a different story.

I sighed and settled down in bed right as my phone started ringing. I looked and saw it was William. I smiled and stood to answer it.

"Hey!" I said happily, if not a little sleepily.

"Hey," He was being broody, or he also was sleepy, "what's going on?" He asked.

"Nothing much. It's super late here so I was just about to go to sleep." I was happy to hear his voice. He made me think of home. It had only been about 3 days since I left but I missed my bed at home. This one was too soft. I felt I might sink to the floor.

"Is Ashton in your bed?" He asked, clearly joking but I nearly panicked.

"No! Why would he be? That's random." Smooth. He sighed.

"I know, you wouldn't let that happen." He was serious. He couldn't tell I was panicking. Somehow.

"What are your plans today?" I asked. He made an 'I dunno' noise.

"I've got a shoot at 3 but really nothing else." We sat in silence for so long I nearly fell asleep. "Have a good night, Shel." He said. I hummed in response and fell onto my bed before I fell asleep for the night.
