32- Unexpected

I can't believe I'm in the 7th grade and already over highschool.

"Candy okay listen, I'm pregnant... And I'm sorry I never told you... I'm just, terrified, and I don't know who else to go to..."

9 months later.

Beetlejuice has gotten a job, finally, and your life other than that has been pretty normal. Days went on. Days. Hours. Minutes. Even seconds away from your due date. And honestly, you were terrified. Being a mother terrified you. The mistakes you could make. The thought that you have another life to take care of. But you didn't really have a choice anymore.

You woke up with a pain in your lower stomach. You groaned as you tried to go back to sleep. You eventually couldn't so you sat up and realized you were alone in bed again. You sighed looking over at the empty spot next to you, but you went on anyway and tried one last time to fall asleep. You knew you couldn't, the pain was unbelievably horrible and you wanted it to end. A wetness took over your lower regions as you realized what was happening.

A wave of terror washed over you as you screamed Candy's name.

"Y/n, are you okay?!" She asked in a worried tone.

"I think... My water just broke..." You faintly whispered out.

"Do what?"

"Candy, I think we need to get to the hospital. Where's Lawrence?" You cried.

"Uh, he said he was working overtime, it'll be fine Y/n."

Candy eventually called an ambulance to come and take you both away. You got inside while Candy called Beetlejuice.

"Jesus man, pick up-" Candy whispered to herself.

"Come on, what do you want, I was on my way home." He said in a tired voice.

"Hmm, so ya don't care if Y/n's water broke. Hmm, ain't she lucky she has me." She spit out.

"Wait, no way-"

"No... We just went to the hospital for a feild trip, the hell you think we're doing here.

"Uh, okay, I'll be uh, right there." He studdered out.

Candy ended the call as she sat down.

'this is gonna be a long night' she thought to herself.

And indeed it was. Hours of excruciating pain. Hours of patiently waiting. Hours of being terrified of what comes next. You had no idea this is what it'd be like.

"Candy, where's Y/n, how's she doing?" Beetlejuice said as he walked into the waiting with Candy.

"I dunno, I'm not family, but I mean, she hasn't gave birth yet so that's something. The rest of her family's on their way, too" Candy said with a yawn.

Hours past before you were actually ready. Or well... Mentally ready, but not physically ready. You saw Beetlejuice at your side with made you smile a bit.

Candy was outside half asleep in a chair before a woman's voice interrupted her.

"Candy dear, how's Y/n?"

She realized it was just your aunt and she smiled.

"Oh, I dunno, they had Lawrence go back... I don't think it's anyone else allowed in though."

"Well, we'll just have to wait, it's kinda unexpected at this time of night... Poor girl." Your aunt said as she frowned.

"Yeah, I really don't think she's ready for all this. And, I guess I'm moving out soon" Candy chuckled.

"Well, you're always welcome to family things... Y/n told be about the stuff that happened with your family."

"And I think... I want to marr-"

"Lawrence! There you are, how is she?!" Your aunt's said happily jumping up to hug Beetlejuice.

"I dunno exactly, all I know is that I wanted to come out and tell you it's a girl." He smiled.

"Heyyyy, you owe me twenty bucks boi!" Candy laughed.

You laid on bed tiredly and slowly falling asleep. You woke up back in your room. The sun shining in through your window. You were sitting with your legs up and your sketch book laying against them. You looked up from your drawing to see a familiar figure.

"Beetlejuice?" You called out.

"Huh, how do you know my name?" He asked excitedly.

"What'd you mean, of course I know your name."

"Listen, I had no idea you could see me... So obviously you didn't, but you did. Babes, who told you?" He chuckled.

"Wait-" you said before stopping yourself.

You walked over to your mirror to a younger you. You looked like you did back in your Senior year.

"No, don't tell me... That was all a dream." You said under your breath.

"So like, you gonna say my name orrrr, because this is getting kinda weird kid."

"Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice" you said happily.

"Thank God, I still really wanna know how you knew my name babes." He laughed.

"I know this might sound crazy... But I must have had this weird dream... Whereweendupdatingandwrgetmarriedandilikefinishcollegeandwehaveakid..." You spit out. "I also made a friend name Candy- but I guess it was all a dream."

"Woah uh, we got, married?" He said "and, have a kids, shit we can do that now if y'know what I mean." He said with a wink.

"No... You... Actually loved me then, I... Don't know anymore." You said in a disappointed voice " I kinda miss that life."

"Babes come on, it was just a dream, none of it actually happened" he said rolling his eyes.

"Wait, so my mom's still here?" You said curiously.

"Uh, why wouldn't she be?"

"It's a long story-" you laughed.

You walked downstairs to see your mother in the same spot she was that day. In the kitchen sitting at the counter with a cigarette dangling from her mouth.

"Mom- I just want to say I'm sorry and I love you. Loosing dad... Was really hard, I know. But seriously we have to move on. Mom I love you and don't want to loose you." You said sadly as you walked into the kitchen.

She stayed silent for a little bit before she looked up at you. She to the cigarette out if her mouth and put in in an ashtray, she walked up and hugged you for a while. "I'm sorry baby-" she whispered in your ear.
