Oli walked down the corridor smoothly, ignoring the cat calls and wolf whistles he revived. He pulled his skirt up higher, flaunting his new fish net tights which showed off just a little bit too much skin to be considered acceptable for school.

He opened up his locker, frowning at the unfamiliar pastel pink envelope that was there. He picked up the letter and turned it over, noticing the few fresh daisies that had been taped down on to the paper. They looked recently picked, meaning that someone must have slipped this letter in to his locker this morning.

Carefully he ripped open the envelope, taking out the sheet of lined paper that was inside. The handwriting was much scruffier than his but he managed to read it anyway.

Oli,

I was looking at these daisies this morning and thought of you. They're almost as pretty as you are but nothing will ever quite compare to your beauty. It sounds so cheesy, especially coming from someone like me, but it's true. It's so, so true.

I wish you saw me like I see you. We are from completely different planets and yet my universe revolves around you. But you know what they say, opposites attract so maybe one day our worlds will collide. Hopefully.

Ps. I think you look adorable in that skirt, you should wear it that high more often ;)

Oli looked down at the letter as he felt his cheeks heat up uncontrollably. He glanced up but no one was around him, he was alone in the corridor.

His fingers traced the ink on the page, feeling across the smooth surface like touching the words would reveal who had written them.

He carefully placed the letter into his backpack before heading into the common room to wait for his first lesson.

As soon as he got home from school he pulled the letter out of his backpack. His eyes scanned the words again, absorbing all the compliments and analysing each carefully placed letter.

He twisted the daisies between his fingers, sighing happily at how pretty they looked in between his pastel blue fingernails.

He blushed at the words on the paper as he read them over and over again.

I wish you saw me like I see you.

Those 9 simple words had managed to catch Oli in a daze as he thought of all the possible things they could mean. Did this mean somebody liked him? He smiled at the thought of someone having a crush on him and going to the trouble of picking him some daisies and writing him a sweet letter.

He held the piece of paper to his nose, breathing in the scent of men's aftershave that lingered there. Whoever wrote this letter had definitely sprayed it with their favourite spray before sending it.

The smell was the only clue Oli had as to who had written it, and he was determined to find out who it was. He placed the letter against his sweater covered chest as he laid down against the mattress, smiling wishfully up at the ceiling.
