They heard a loud gasp from behind then. Oli instantly pulled away from Josh, shoving his body away from the other boys slightly. There, in the doorway, was Mrs Franceschi looking at the two boys in shock.

"Oh sorry boys was I interrupting something?" She gasped. Josh and Oli both turned to each other, making awkward eye contact before retreating their gazes to the floor, their faces flushed.

"No." They both muttered at the same time. Mrs Franceschi scoffed and shook her head in disbelief.

"Whatever, just remember to keep your bedroom door open, I don't want you two boys getting down to any silly business whilst we are still home." She said before going over to the kitchen table and beginning to wipe it down.

"You don't care that I just kissed a boy?" Josh asked sceptically.

"Oh Joshua, I'm your mother, I've know for years." She huffed. "Me and your father have been secretly hoping the two of you will get together for years."

"Mummmmm." Josh groaned in embarrassment making Oli stifle a laugh from besides him.

"I can't wait to see the look on your mother's face when I tell her, Oli." Josh's mum beamed. Oli smiled back awkwardly, cringing at the thought of his and Josh's mum secretly shipping them.

"Yeahhh I think Oli and I will be off now mum." Josh said, scratching his neck awkwardly before ushering Oli out of the door. Oli didn't need to be told twice, he couldn't wait to escape this extremely awkward conversation.

"Alright you boys have fun, but not too much fun if you know what I mean." She winked, causing both Josh and Oli to visibly cringe.

The two boys walked towards the stairs, eager to get away from Josh's mum as quickly as possible. Oli turned around to see that Josh wasn't following behind him, so pocked his head back around the doorframe just in time to catch what Josh was whispering in his mother's ear.

"Don't tell Elissa."
