Payton and Josie were sucking face in the kitchen. I looked for Shaun to talk to him, but I didn't see him. I asked Park.
"Have you seen Shaun? I wanted to talk to him," I mentioned to Park and Matthew.
"Not lately, and I thought he would be at the party," Park answered as I furrowed my brows.
"He's probably tied up," Matthew mentioned as I had my doubts.
I nodded and went to hang with my brothers.
Park
I called Shaun and to find out where the hell he was. I didn't see him at any meetings, which isn't right. Meetings are essential to maintain sobriety. He didn't pick up, so I called Uncle Nixon.
Hello?
"Uncle Nix, I think there's a problem," I said.
You didn't slip, did you?
"No, I'm attending my meetings, but Shaun hasn't been going to them," I told him.
Nixon let out a sigh. Park, you can't force him to attend. He either does or doesn't. All you can do is work on the program and hope he attends. Let me know if there's an issue.
I told Nixon goodbye and hung up. Something said to me that there is a reason I haven't seen Shaun at the meetings and his dumbass named Travis. That burned me.

I broke from my kiss with Josie as she looked at me. Damn, her lips are so soft, and that kiss was amazing. Then I chuckled. She looked at me strangely.
"You have cake on your face," I chuckled as she started laughing.
I grabbed a washcloth and wet it, then cleaned Josie and myself up. I tossed the rag back into the sink as I pulled her to me. Josie placed her hands on my arms.
"Wow," she mentioned. I looked at her curiously. "You have muscles," Josie commented as she felt my arms, and I chuckled.
"It's nice to know that you like to feel me up, but I prefer to feel up the girl," I flirted as she stopped and blushed. I smirked.
"Well, okay, I think I'm going to go back to the party," Josie said, trying to get out of my hold, but I pulled her closer to me. "Yep, I'm going to go back to the party now." She wiggled in my arms as I kept a firm hold on to her, then I captured her lips again. I pulled back as I looked at her. "Or not," Josie added as I smiled.
"I like you, Josie, and I want to take you out on a date," I said as her eyes widened.
"You do?" She asked, surprised.
"Yeah, I do," I answered as I smiled at her. I still had my arms wrapped around her as she stared at me in disbelief.
"It isn't some joke. If it is, that's a terrible joke," Josie mentioned. My smile faded, and I looked at her.
"It's not a joke, and I'm not the kind to joke about liking someone," I replied with a seriousness.
"Oh," Josie whispered as I could feel her body tense against mine.
I leaned into her ear and whispered, "We'll start with a date, then one day, I'll make you mine." I pulled back and saw her face turn three shades of red.
I released her, and before she turned to leave, I slid my hand into hers, interlocking our fingers. It shocked her, but it didn't with me. I didn't see it before, but I see it now. I like everything about Josie, especially knowing she loved me and no one else.
