Shaun
We arrived at a house and got out of the car. I was apprehensive of being here. I wasn't ready to see Pax, but the brothers assured me it would be fine. I took my bag to my room, got settled, and then felt someone in the room with me. I turned around, startled to see Pax standing there. He stepped towards me, and I backed away until my back hit the wall.
I started crying as he reached for me and screamed, "Don't touch me!" Pax moved him away as I slid down and curled up, crying. Payton and Parker ran into the room as others made it to my room.
"I meant nothing. I wanted to hug Shaun," Pax said with furrowed brows as I hid my face.
Payton got up as Parker helped me.
"It's not you. Shaun has issues with anyone touching him. We should have told you," Payton told Pax as he looked at me. Then Pax left. I shouldn't have to come because I'm not ready.
Pax
I walked out of the room and passed everyone as they tried to stop me. I pulled my arm away and left the house. It's such bullshit. I can't even get close to Shaun, and I doubt we could have a relationship. I was looking forward to spring break, and now I wanted to go home.
I walked along the beach with my hands in my pockets and knew everyone was wrong. The heart wants what the heart wants, but doesn't get it. That is bullshit logic. I picked up a rock and screamed, throwing it into the ocean. I dropped to my knees and cried.
I felt someone touch my back as I looked to see my brothers around me. I lowered my head as they comforted me. We might fight, but with what mattered, we were there for each other. I needed them, and they were there.
Mason
I got to the beach house and walked inside, happy to be there. It had been a while since I saw everyone. Thanks, Ma and Dad, to moving me to no-man's-land. I walked in and set my bags down and looked around. Where the hell is everyone?
"Hey, look what the cat dragged in," Kaxon mentioned, coming out of the kitchen.
I watched as others came downstairs and stood there. My cousins came over and hugged me.
"Hey, country bumpkin," Markus remarked, and I rolled my eyes.
"It's not my fault the rents moved me to Timbuktu. Ever talk to a cow? They moo back at you," I retorted as my cousins laughed.
Then I heard other voices as I braced for impact, and the brothers tackled me. They piled on me as I laid beneath them. That happens when you're the shortest in the family.
They got off of me as I laid there.
"Am I dead?" I asked.
"Not yet," Pat mentioned as he helped me up.
"Damn dude, you're older and the shortest," Presley commented as I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, Yeah, I'm short. I blame Ma," I sighed as they laughed.
"Go get settled, and we're going to grill," Payton told me as I went upstairs. I went to find a room and found a guy sitting on a bed, looking like he had a bad day.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm having a rough time," the guy said.
"Do you want to talk about it?" I asked.
"Not really," the guy said as I looked at him.
"You know, today is a bad day, but tomorrow is a new day. Don't let the bad days ruin the good ones," I suggested as I left the room. I found a place and set my stuff down. I can't believe I get to see my cousins, then go to school next year and see Nora.
