The Search

A few hours after Alexandra disappeared, when everyone is still searching for her, they hear over the intercom that Dr. Karyn Salinger found Alexandra in the infirmary.

Karyn was doing an ultrasound on Alexandra to see if any trauma was caused to the baby. She was shocked by what she found.

"Alex, you're not pregnant anymore." Karyn said as she turned to face her friend, "Is it alright if I do a pelvic exam?"

Alexandra was just staring off in the distance. She didn't understand what was happening.

Teigra shimmered into the room. She looked relieved to see her mom, but after a moment she looked concerned.

"Mom, where's my brother?" Teigra asked

Karyn turned her attention to the young girl, "I'm still trying to determine what happened. The ultrasound showed no baby."

Teigra nodded, "I know. I sensed it. She gave birth recently."

"Birth?" Karyn questioned, "She wasn't even five months pregnant."

"I think the pregnancy was magically expedited. Whoever kidnapped her wanted the baby, but didn't want to wait."

Karyn looked confused, "Who would want a baby?"

"A lot of people. Believe me."

"What for?" Karyn wondered

Teigra looked at Alexandra, placing a gentle hand on her the woman's shoulder, "I won't let you lose another baby. I will find your baby, Mom, no matter what it takes. I promise." Then she shimmered out of the room.

Alexandra was just looking around confused, while Karyn sighed and mouthed an 'okay'. Teigra never answered her question. Who would want a baby? And what for?

Meanwhile at Jonas and Imogen Timoney residence. Imogen was in the attic with her kids for their witch lessons when Teigra shimmered in.

Four year old Ludo ran and hugged Teigra, "Tei-Tei."

"Aunt Immy, my mom needs your help." Teigra said as she hugged her little cousin back.

Teigra was glad that he had greeted her with a hug because after the day that she has had so far, she really needed the hug.

Imogen looked up at Teigra's tear filled eyes, "What happened to Asha?"

"Someone took her baby."

Imogen looked confused, "Okay. Start from the beginning."

Teigra took a breath as she started explaining what happened to Alexandra and how she was returned.

Teigra was worried about her unnamed baby brother, because she knew all the spells and she knew all the horrible ways that a baby could be used for a spell. She didn't know who took her brother, but she did know that the person would have hell to pay once she found them.

Imogen walked over and hugged Teigra, "Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry. Is Asha okay?"

Teigra held tightly to her aunt as she sniffled, "She doesn't even remember being pregnant."

"I want to see Auntie Asha." Four year old Miray, the twin of Ludo, announced

"Me too." Eitan added, "Aunt Asha should be surrounded by family."

Imogen sighed, "Oh kids, I don't know. I think it would be too much right now."

"I think it's a lovely idea. It might put my mom at ease to have a few family members around. Tell Uncle Roshaun to visit too. He and my mom are really close. Like siblings." Teigra added, "You guys can go. I have to....I promised my mom that I'd find her baby." And in one shimmer, Teigra was gone.
