Oi Homeschooled - Fred Weasley x reader

*- 7 - You're cute, you know

Hogsmeade was apparently a very magical place. I had been there once, very shortly, when taking the train to Hogwarts, but never had the chance to explore. Mum would take me to other villages nearby, but it is said that not one is as magical as Hogsmeade. So when a trip came around, I was more excited than ever.

We were sitting at breakfast, even though it was almost 11AM. Lee and Fred weren't keen on waking up early.

"So Y/N, are you excited?" Fred asked and I nodded with a smile.

"We'll give you the grand tour of Zonko's."

"No better tour guides than us", George finished.

They had told me all about Hogsmeade's best shops. Zonko's joke shop, Honeydukes for sweets, Butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. Me being excited was an understatement.

"Come on now, it's 11 already!" Katie exclaimed and stood up. We followed her lead and made our way over to the carriages. I talked with Fred on the way. He was joking about how he would definitely show me the Shrieking Shack. It was apparently very haunted and not the cosiest of places. 

"Don't worry, my strong manly arms will be there when you're scared", he said and loosely wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Oh shut up, Weasel", I said and pushed him away, but I couldn't help but blush furiously.

We stepped onto the carriage, but I was pushed back.

"Six per carriage, that's the rule", Filch said annoyed. All my friends were already sitting so I awkwardly stepped off.

"Bloody hell, there's room enough", Lee said.

"Rules are rules."

"Don't worry about it guys, I'll take the next one, I'll see you there", I said.

"You're not spending your first trip to Hogsmeade alone in a carriage", Fred said and stood up.

Suddenly, an arm was swung around my shoulder. Not Fred's this time.

"No need Weasley. She doesn't have to sit alone, she can sit with me."

I looked up confused and saw Cedric with a smirk on his face. I rose an eyebrow and he looked down at me.

"You okay with that?" he asked and the smirk turned into a smile.

"Sure", I mumbled. I looked back at the group and Katie gave me a wink. Fred looked annoyed. I really needed to figure out what beef he and Cedric had.

"I'll see you in Hogsmeade", I said and smiled awkwardly, before leaving with Cedric.

We were alone in a carriage and the cold wind of the beginning of November was sending chills down my spine.

"How come you're all alone?" I asked.

"My friends left earlier, I had some tournament business to take care of."

We talked a lot about the Triwizard Tournament he was competing in, the holidays, school and so on. It was kind of fun actually. He was nice.

We arrived at Hogsmeade, where Katie, Angelina and Alicia were waiting for me. Apparently the guys didn't wait around.

"Well, I'll see you around I suppose", I said and he nodded.

"You definitely will." He shot me a wink and helped me off the carriage. Then we parted ways.

"Where are the guys?" I asked as I walked up to them.

"They already went to the Three Broomsticks to order ahead, they'll meet us there", Alicia said.
