Chapter 21: Back At Hogwarts

I woke up early in the morning and made sure I had packed everything in my small suitcase. Then I walked nervously around my room and listened to some music to calm my nerves. Mum was trying to talk to me and I guess she just wanted to make me feel better, but honestly, I didn't give a fuck anymore.

Dumbledore arrived at 8am and exchanged a few words with my parents before taking me with him back to my only true home anymore, Hogwarts. Or actually Hogwarts isn't my home, Severus Snape is, but because he basically lives there, that place feels more like home nowadays than any other place.

As soon as I arrive to the Slytherin common room, I'm extremely surprised by the fact that no one is whispering about me or Snape and they're not even staring at me or anything. I immediately feel quite relaxed as I see Chris and Glen in a quiet corner.

"Hi, guys", I say and sit down next to Chris. "How are you doing?"

"We're doing just fine. What about you?" he replies.

"I... I don't know, actually. I'm pretty confused. Snape told me Dumbledore has managed to hush it all up but I didn't quite expect that to be true. Is no one really rumoring about me and Snape anymore?"

"It's true. Nobody cares about that anymore, Dumbledore sort of casted a spell to make everyone think the whole thing was just a stupid joke. But we're your friends and we've been thinking that maybe it was true..." Glen says.

"What?" I blush and laugh nervously. "But that is absurd." God, they can see it all written on my face. Why am I this obvious?

"We know you, (Y/N), even though you've changed a lot since..." Glen has apparently learnt to be more careful around this topic.

"Since my brother died. It's okay, you can say it, Glen", I say because I'm not mad at her anymore. After fucking things up with Draco it feels good to have some real friends to have your back.

"We noticed the way you looked at him in the potions class... And I mean, we don't judge you, obviously." Chris smiles. "We're just a little disappointed that you didn't tell us about that."

"Well, yeah, I sort of promised him not to tell anyone. I told Draco though, which was definitely a fucking huge mistake, but it was when I was having a really bad moment..."

"So it is true! You and Snape are dating!" Glen says.

"Shut up!" I yell. "But yeah, I mean, now that you've found it out I guess I can't deny it anymore."

"Wow", Chris gasps. "Like, how the fuck did that even happen?"

"Well, it's a long story", I say, smirking. "But hey, you need to promise me to keep this just between us three, because I certainly don't want to cause another terrible scandal."

"Of course. You can trust us, even though sometimes Chris can be such an asshole", Glen says and gives Chris a teasing look.

"You better be careful, young lady!" Chris yells at her.

"God, I'm so happy right now. I can't really remember the last time I was", I say and smile at my beautiful lovely friends.

"Oh honey, you deserve to be happy", Glen says.

"So, how was last week?" Chris asks me.

"Ugh, it was horrible. I was sad and confused, and on top of all that, I was also sick. I don't even know what it was. I'm still kind of feeling it, like I need to vomit all the time, it's so fucking disgusting."

"Maybe you're pregnant with professor Snape", Glen whispers and giggles. I laugh at first, too, but then I get serious because I start thinking about that night with Snape when we were underneath the stars...

Oh bloody hell. This can't be. This can not be true. I can't be pregnant, I'm too young for that shit! Oh my God, what should I do? Am I even pregnant? Maybe I'm not. Maybe it's a false alert.

"(Y/N), are you okay?" Glen asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I just realized something very important."
