Chapter Fifteen: Mi Novia? (My Girlfriend?)

(Aryas outfit in Media)
-

Waiting for Friday to arrive was one of the longest waits in history, and by the time it had come, it snowed.

We had got a light blanket of snow, and honestly? I had never seen snow before. It's beautiful! So white and perfect and just wow.

It's Friday, finally, and the day couldn't have gone by slower.

When I finally get back to my dorm, I sigh in relief. I have to find my fancy clothes and pick what I deem most appropriate to wear going out with Alex.

I pull on a sleeveless red dress, a single glittery silver strip going diagonal on the top. I add white heels with a strap around my ankle, giving me lots of height to my small frame. I slip on three white bracelets, one braided, one with an infinity sign and the other an anchor.

Once happy with my clothes, I move on to my makeup and hair. I give myself white eye shadow with a brown along the crease. I give myself bright red lips before doing my hair in a fancy up do.

I completely forget about grabbing a coat or anything as the alarm went off on my phone signalling it was time to go. I grab my silver clutch and slide my phone in, running out and making my way to the fountain.

A shiver runs over my body, I'm stupid. I'm so stupid. I forgot to bring a coat. I sigh, I guess I'll have to deal with it.

Then my eyes find Alex. He looks like a greek god. As simple as that. His hair is styled in a messy perfection. And no bandana... That's a miracle. He's wearing dress pants and dress shoes. Woah. And a blue and white checkered shirt with a black tie. A black blazer casually draped over his arm, as though he got too warm for it.

His eyes turn to me and they light up in a way that draws me in. I smile widely.

"You look gorgeous." He says softly.

I can feel a blush on my cheeks. "Thanks." I reply. "And you look... Like a god." I admit.

He smiles. "Come along then."

Alex holds his arm out for me and I take it. We walk toward the parking lot full of student cars.

We arrive at a rather fancy car - I think Alex is rather wealthy... I shake the though away and he opens the door for me like a gentleman. I smile and climb in.

As we drive, it starts to lightly snow. Alex kept glancing over at me with an amused look in his eyes.

"What?" I ask finally.

"Your face... Have you never seen snow before?" He asks.

"No. It's bonita." I sigh.

"Bonita?" Alex questions.

"Beautiful." I translate with a small smile.

Alex pulls into a restaurant that looks awfully fancy. I glance at him, but he's already out of the car and walking around to my side. He opens the door for me and helps me out of the car.

I feel like a princess right now. Really.

He leads me inside and we get seated at a table. Almost instantly we're asked what we'd like to drink. I simply go with water, I never drank much else. Alex did the same.

We talked, and talked, and talked, and talked. And as we talked, I found we leaned towards each other over the table. When the waitress comes with our food, we both hastily pull back.

She sets the food down, a knowing smile on her aging face. "You two have a nice dinner, holler if you need anything."

I giggle at that, and her knowing smile grows to a humoured one. She leaves us be after that.

"You're so cute Arya." Alex chuckles.

I blush and I mumble a, "thanks."

We talk some more as we eat, and when I finish our table is cleared. We get served ice cream. Freakin' rights!

"You're a slow eater." Alex teases as he's finished his ice cream and I'm not even half way done my own.

"Got a problem with that?"

"No." Alex chuckles.

I giggle a bit but hurry myself into finishing.

"So, what does 'te amo' mean? I do recall you saying it to me the first time we met." Alex muses.

"Er... That was just me spitting out random words absently." I lie. "Sorry."

Alex raises an eyebrow, but he doesn't push it. I finish my ice cream up quickly.

Alex gets the check, and though I offer to pay he gives me a look that shuts me up. I glare at him in return though. As we get up and go back to the car I shiver. Alex hands me the blazer he had never actually put on.

"Thanks." I say happily, sliding it on over my freezing arms. So cliche, but I don't really care, I'm too cold to.

He drives back to the dorms but before either of us get out he turns to me.

"Arya... Will you be my girlfriend?" Alex asks, staring straight into my eyes with handsome brown ones.

"Yes." I whisper. Almost automatically we both lean in, kissing each other. But I teasingly pull away. "See you later Superman." I smile and leave the car, keeping his blazer as I walk back to my own dorm. Probably the happiest woman on this Earth right now.
