"Olivia!" no reply "Olivia!!"
Dianne shouted up the stairs again. Still no reply. Dianne, getting frustrated, marched up the stairs towards her 14 year old daughters bedroom. She swung open the door and saw the teenager sat on her bed attached to her phone with her new airpods connected that she recently got from her birthday.
"Olivia Kate, take those things out your ears and listen to me"
Olivia rolled her eyes deliberately knowing that it seriously annoys Dianne, and took out her airpods.
"What do you want?" she said with a petulant tone in her voice.
"Don't you dare speak to me like that" Dianne said getting more and more angry.
"I can speak to you how i want" Olivia said standing up. "Anyway, i'm going out now with some friends. See you in a bit."
And with that, Olivia picked up her bag, purse and phone and left the house leaving Dianne sat on her daughters bed procrastinating on why she's brought up such a bad behaved child.

*1 hour later*
Joe walked in from work expecting to hear his two favourite girls laughing and joking, but there was nothing. Suddenly, a faint cry was heard from upstairs so Joe put down his bag and walked up the stairs. What he saw broke his heart. Dianne was lay on Olivia's bed cuddling Olivia's very first toy that she can't sleep without, crying into the pillow.
"Hey, hey baby what's wrong?" he said sitting down next to dianne stroking her back.
"it's just i- i i'm such a bad parent and i've brought Olivia up so badly and now she's so badly behaved" she said trying to catch her breathe in-between sobs.
"No Dianne, you're the best parent ever and Olivia is so lucky to have you as her mum, anyway where did this come from?" he asked.
"I just tried to talk to her because i haven't seen her all week because of dancing and stuff but she just shouted back at my face and left the house. That is bound to be my fault."
"Dianne, you need to calm down. This is not your fault she is just being a teenager." he explained. Dianne took some deep breaths and gave Joe a hug.
"What would i do without you?" she said.
"I'll give Liv a call now and see where she is" he said standing up heading downstairs.

J~Joe O~Olivia
*ring* *ring* *ring* after the third ring she picked up
J- Hi Olivia
O- Ugh. Don't tell me mum came crying to you and now you're trying to make me apologise to her!
J- Olivia listen, your actions were extremely out of order and you should not treat anyone like that especially not your mum or me.
O- Whatever (rolling her eyes)
J- Where are you because i'm coming to get you
O- In town
J- Ok, i'm on my way
*call ended*
Joe leaves the house and jumps into the car. He starts driving towards town to see if he can spot his teenage daughter. After about 15 minutes of driving he finally spotted her wearing an extremely short skirt. Pulling up to her he winded down the window and shouted.
"Olivia Kate, come get in the car now."
She didn't need to be convinced and said goodbye to her friends and walked over to her dads white Land Rover.
"First of all, that skirt is was too short for you Liv. You're a 14 year old girl walking round London with your arse nearly showing" Joe said knowing he was only saying it for her sake.
"Ugh dad, these skirts are in now. Not like you'd know anyway!" she said with so much sass.
"Right Olivia, first of all i want your phone"
she gave him that look of please no.
"NOW!" Joe shouted and she passed over her recently new phone.
"I'm taking you home and when you get home you're going straight to your bedroom and staying there until you've thought about how to treat me and your mum with respect" he said with a firm tone.
The drive home was long and silent. Olivia was daydreaming out the window, tears forming in her eyes. And Joe was sat up straight, eyes focused on the road.
*15 minutes later*
They arrived home and like she'd been told, Olivia stormed up stairs and slammed her bedroom door.
"Take it you found her then" Dianne said coming out of the kitchen.
"Yeah, picked her up from town and had a talk with her in the car, i think she finally listened!"
"Joe, what are we going to do?" She asked as her lip started to tremble.
"Hey, hey it'll all work out at some point, i promise" he said whilst engulfing her in a tight hug.

*2 hours later*
Joe and Dianne were snuggled up together on the sofa watching a film when they heard someone coming down the stairs. Joe picked up the remote and turned down the tv and looked at each other then looked up. They saw their gorgeous daughter with a tear stained face in her pyjamas and a fluffy dressing gown on.
"Oh sweetheart come here" Dianne said standing up from her cuddle with Joe and wrapping her arms around her. Olivia cried into Dianne's shoulder and Dianne made the sh sh sh noises she used to make when she was a baby crying.
"Mum, Dad i'm so so sorry. I shouldn't have acted like that and you two are the best parents ever and don't deserve this." Olivia said still crying.
"It's ok Poppet but do you understand that your behaviour and attitude today was not acceptable therefore you still will be grounded" Dianne said to her daughter.
"And that means no phone" Joe butted in.
"Yes I understand and i'm so sorry. I love you both" Liv exclaimed.
After that they all ate dinner laughing and joking like a normal family again and finally Dianne felt like she was a good parent. After Olivia had gone to bed Joe said to Dianne.
"Hey gorgeous, well done with the way you handled the situation today! But don't expect this all to be finished, she is a teenager after all!"
"Haha, thank you for everything. I don't know what i'd do without you!"
"I love you Dianne"
"I love you too Joe"
