"Joe, please can you go with Aoife and make her some breakfast? My head is pounding" Dianne mumbled as she could sense their five year old wandering into their bedroom rubbing her eyes having just woken up.

"Yeah, you not feeling well?" He asked stroking her hair.

Dianne shook her head. "I think i've got a migraine coming on." She whined.

"Aww bless, do you need anything?" Joe asked whilst picking up Aoife and placing a kiss on her head.

"Just some water and painkillers." She replied, keeping her eyes closed.

Joe pulled the covers over off himself and stood up, taking Aoife with him to the kitchen. As she ran off to play with her toys in the corner of the room, Joe took out a glass and filled it with cold water and grabbed the paracetamol from the cupboard and placed it next to the water.

"Right then munchkin, what do you want for breakfast?"

"Em well, I would pwease like to ask for pancakes but mummy makes vem best and she's not here." The little girl said to her dad whilst trying to climb the stool up to the island.

"Well, I think mummy is a little bit poorly so she can't make them today. I can give it a go, or you could have coco pops?"

"Coco pops pwease."

Joe poured out a bowl of cereal and milk for Aoife and a glass of juice and left her to it whilst he took up the water and tablets to Dianne.

"I've got your water here Dotty" Joe said placing it next to the bed, gently tickling her back.

"Thank you." She whispered, barely audible.

"How you feeling Little One?"

"Dreadful, it's definitely a migraine that's coming on. I can't possibly do a youtube live this morning." Dianne said crawling up to lean on Joe's chest.

"Don't you worry about that, I can tweet something off your twitter for you if you'd like me to. Do you want to stay up here in the dark or come downstairs for a bit of food?"

"I'll stay here for now, i'm not hungry."

"Alright sweetie, you go back to sleepy. Shout down if you need anything." Joe said, placing a kiss on her forehead and closing the door so the room would stay pitch black.

"Daddy, what's wrong with mummy?" Aoife asked Joe as he got back downstairs and saw her with chocolate coco pops over her face.

"She's got a poorly head sweetheart, so she is going to stay in bed for a little bit longer. If she comes downstairs please can you be extra quiet so it doesn't hurt mummy's head more."

"Okay, will she be better for my birfday though daddy?" The sweet girl asked. Her birthday wasn't for another three weeks.

"Of course darling, she'll be feeling a lot better tomorrow."

Aoife jumped off the stool, giving Joe a heart attack like every time she does it, and ran off to play. Joe collected up the dirty dishes and put them into the dishwasher and then made himself a coffee and a piece of toast with marmite. Finally after what felt like hours of cleaning and cooking, he sat down with his breakfast on the sofa so he was still able to watch Aoife play underneath where the projected shows the tv.

About half an hour had passed and Joe decided it was time to get his little one ready for the day and ready to do some school work.

"Rightio Aoife, time to get you dressed and doing some school work." Joe said standing up with his plate and mug and washing them up.
