Joe and Dianne woke up to a warm shadow of Spanish sunshine shining through the curtains. Although they were in Spain, it was only March so the sun wasn't too vigorous. Dianne rolled over, away from Joe's embrace.
"Joseph, you awake?" Dianne asked rubbing her eyes and stretching.
"Mmm" He mumbled.
Dianne sat up and placed a kiss on his forehead before getting out of the king sized bed.
"Come on Joseph, lets make the most of this little getaway before I go on tour." She said, gently ruffling his hair.
"I'm up, i'm up." Joe said standing abruptly.
It took the couple at least an hour to get ready, Dianne wanting to look in some way presentable. Once they both were ready, they headed down to breakfast.
There was piles of ripe fruits; apples, peaches, pineapple and pears. A selection of yogurts with honey and oats. Various pastries that had just come out of the oven. And Joe's favourite, a good old british breakfast. Baked beans, sausages, bacon, hash brown and egg.
"Shall we sit here?" Joe suggested, choosing a seat outside in the direct sunshine.
"Er- ye, yeah that's fine." Dianne said, looking over her shoulder.
"What's wrong darling? You look anxious." He said stroking her cheek.
Joe had know about Dianne's anxiety since they started their strictly journey together and knew how to detect the signs. It was the constant fretting and always being on the edge.
"Erm yeah i'm fine." She stuttered.
"You're clearly not sweetheart. You can tell me anything."
"Let's just eat, will you come with me a o get food though?"
The couple walked into the buffet restaurant, hand in hand. They separated when Dianne split off to the fruit and yogurt and Joe headed over to the hot food.
Dianne could feel eyes on the back of her. Why was everyone starting at her? She desperately needed Joe. Putting her bowl down on the side, she scanned the room quickly to find the only person she needed at this time. When she saw him the in queue for baked beans she walked rapidly towards him, linking her arm around his when she got to him.
"Hey hey, calm down. What's wrong?" He took her away back outside to their table.
"I constantly feel like i'm being stared at Joe. Why? Please make it stop."
"Sh sh sh. They're only looking because you're beautiful."
"Stop lying Joe. I want to know why. What's wrong with me?"
"Listen, you stay here i'll get the food and we can then go back to the room so you can calm down a bit? Yeah?" He suggested.
The two of them ate their breakfast, Dianne constantly looking over her shoulder. Once they'd both eaten Joe took Dianne's hand in his and they walked back to their room.
"Why is everyone staring Joe? You must have noticed something?" Dianne said leaning her head on his shoulder.
"I don't know darling. Don't worry, I won't let anything happen." He squeezed her hand to let her know she's safe.

They arrived back to their hotel and it took a moment for Joe to realise that Dot was crying. He simply led her inside and wiped the tear from the side of her cheek. Pulling her over to the bed he sat down and pulled her close, teasing her roots with his fingers.
"Just talk to me, I know it's not just people looking at you that's making you feel like this." He said softly.
"I feel awful. So ugly and no one likes me." She sniffed.
"Naw Dotty. That's all wrong. Everyone loves you. You don't need to think that people are staring at you because you're ugly. Because you're not. You're so beautiful."
"I'm not though. I have two massive pimples on my face, I look half asleep all the time and my hair always looks a mess."
"Now then Dianne Buswell. What you don't like about yourself doesn't mean that other people don't like it. You're beautiful in every way and you shouldn't ever feel differently."
All of a sudden the red head broke down, sobbing into Joe's t-shirt. Joe had never been to good with dealing with emotions but, since he had got a girlfriend he'd become a lot better. Mumbling things into her ear to help her calm down and rubbing his thumb up and down her back. Dianne's eyes soon fell closed.

After about an hour Dianne woke up.
"Hey Dotty. You feeling any better? Any happier?" Joe asked.
"Yeah. Actually I do. Thank you so much for making me feel better. I love you so much. I don't know what i'd do without you!"
"Anything for my beautiful girl."
He placed a kiss onto her lips.
