It was Monday. A miserable, grey Monday. In fact, it was also Dianne's first day back at training for the new series of strictly. This meant Joe had to stay home on his own and look after the three little rascals.
"Joe, are you sure you'll be alright?" Dianne exasperated as she ran around the apartment trying to gather her belongings.
"Yes darling, i'll be fine. It's not like I haven't done it already" He replied with.
"I know, but it's hard work. Looking after twins under three and a six year old."
He placed a hand on her face to calm her down.
"Dotty, i'll be fine. And if anything happens I promise I will call."
Joe pulled his wife into a warm embrace but, it didn't last long as she took a quick glance at the clock above her and realised she had to leave. Dianne rushed into the playroom and gave her three children a kiss.
"Be good for Daddy ok. Aofie, you're the oldest so make sure Noah and Effie play nicely ok?"
They all looked up at her and waved as she walked off, giving Joe and quick kiss and running out the door to her uber.
"Right then kids. It's just Daddy today! What do you want to do?" Joe asked waking into the playroom.
"Park." Noah shouted.
"Park." Effie copied.
"Yeah ok, we can do that. You up for the park Aofie?"
The little six year old nodded. Joe scooped up the twins, who were now nearly three, and took them into their room to get them ready.
"Right, we all ready?" Joe shouted up the stairs.
Down came Aofie with her peppa pig wellies on, on the wrong feet.
"I ready Dada."
"Oh silly billy, you've got them mixed up. Look this one goes here and this one goes on here." He pulled off her wellies and put them on properly.
"Very good girl for trying though."
It'd taken Joe about an hour in total to get everyone ready to leave which was double the time it would take with Dianne. It took a few attempts to try and work the twin push chair but he finally managed it. Twins sat down, Aofie holding on tight to the side of the buggy. They were finally leaving.

The Sugg family arrived at the park and Joe moved over to a free bench, sitting down to get out the twins. To his suprise, they were both fast asleep so, he just sat back and watched as Aofie played.
"Daddy watch this!" The excitable six year old said whilst swinging on the money bars.
"Wow, be carful up there sweetie. We don't want any accidents do we?" Joe said as his faced morphed from smiles to fear.
Joe made sure he was watching his daughter at all times. You never know what could happen. Annoyingly, Effie started to whimper and out of no where was a full blown screaming tantrum.
"Sh sh sh. Hey hey. Why you upset?" Joe asked as he got her out the buggy.
"Aofie come here a minute please and sit next to me because I can't watch you and tend to this one."
The crying went on for about 20 minutes until Joe felt like giving up. He tried everything. Poor Aofie was getting bored and cold, Noah was starting to wake and everyone was staring.
Starting to get frustrated, Joe put Effie back into the buggy even though she was still screaming, he grabbed Aofie's hand and they started walking. As they were walking Joe picked his phone out his pocket. He didn't have any other options. They were the only person that could help.
"Dianne? Hi it's me. I was just wondering if I could bring them round here. We've been at the park and Effie has been crying and screaming for about 30 minutes now." He rushed out.
"Hey hey, calm down. Yes it's fine come here we're on our lunch break anyway. What about the other two? Are they ok?" She asked.
"They're fine. Poor Aofie is getting cold now as we've been outside for a while and Noah has pretty much slept through." Just as Joe said that, the other twin started coping his sibling.
"Fuck sake. Spoke to soon." Joe mumbled.
"Joe just get here asap. I can hear the two of them through the phone!"
///
After a brisk 5 minute walk, they arrived at the studio. The twins had calmed down a lot now and Joe got then out their buggy as he couldn't bring it into the rehearsal room. He opened the door for the kids and when the three of them saw their mummy's red hair the reaction was the cutest.
"Mummy, Mummy, Mummy!" They all shouted simultaneously running over to Dianne as she bent down with her arms out.
"My little Munchkins." She said as she pulled them all into a tight hug.
"Mummy we went to the park and it was weally fun until Effie started cwying a lot and then we had to sit down and I got cold. Then we walked and we walked for ages and yeah." The six year old explained.
"Oh really."
Dianne picked up Effie.
"I thought I told you to behave little miss." Dianne said tickling her under the chin.
Soon enough all the pros were gathered around the children as they danced to the music playing for them. When everyone clapped they had the cutest reactions.
When the lunch break came to an end Joe started to pack his things up and get ready to leave until Effie started to act up again.
"She clearly wants you Di." Joe said passing their daughter over.
"Why don't you stay and watch then? As long as they don't run into the main floor i'm sure no one would mind them saying."
"That's such a good ideas Dot." He said walking towards the seats.
"Oh by the way." He turned around. "You were right this morning when you told me it was hard work."
She just laughed and placed a kiss on his lips.
"I love you Joseph!"
"Love you too Dotty!"
