⤚ A Fire Within ⤙

Araya

ADRENALINE seeped into my veins as I tore off down the hallway narrowly avoiding Daiki who tried to grab me. Before Akiya took off after me. Panic seized within me as I ran as blades rang out. Issei stayed behind to fight his brother for me.

Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. Cause' there was no way he was defeating Daiki nor his sister Ren. But I had my own brother to worry about. Who was currently chasing me down like I was some sort of dog at this point in time. And I ran fast.

Running was my speciality. But all I had to do was not trip. . . and pray I could make it out of here. I didn't even dare to look behind. But I saw a rack. I slammed into it and as I ducked it went down and I heard Akiya crash into it.

I stopped. "Catch me now you asshole!" I yelled. Akiya looked me as he shoved it off of him. "Never mind." And I continued running. Fuck taunts I'm not dying tonight. So I continued running as fast as I possibly could.

There was no time for me to hesitate and risk Akiya catching me. I halted as I reached a dead end and froze as I looked behind. Back was where Daiki and the rest were. Where was Storm when I needed her. The only other exit was surrounded by a locked gate.

Just as Akiya rounded with the corner I kicked open a door and ran out as I skidded behind a tack as Akiya entered. "Ara." His voice was taunting echoing off the walls as I looked around. I was in a storage room. I needed to find something to defend myself with.

As Akiya moved I slowly moved away as he walked down the aisle I was once down. I stopped as I saw a taser. This was a big toss up. Reaching over I grabbed it and grabbed a pack of batteries and cranked it up to the highest voltage.

He was a nogitsune now so now to pray he didn't have the thunder he once had. As Akiya rounded the corner his eyes settled on me. "You know this would be much easier if you stopped fighting me. You promised." Akiya taunted as he stepped forth and I took a step back.

"I promised not to run, I didn't promise not to escape." I responded. A smirk lit up his face. "Aren't you a trickster of words now. . . I love it." Akiya spoke with a smirk decorated on his face as he moved forth and I took a step back.

"I would give up. You have nowhere to go. The one trump card that you may have had is gone, Daiki's spirit is now out. And I doubt he's gonna let you go. And Issei can't beat Daiki and Ren." I looked at him as I took a step back.

"Your trapped Araya, and if you cooperate it'd be a lot easier." Akiya appeared in front of me. "Now hand me the damn taser." Akiya demanded holding his hand out. "You want it?" I asked and he nodded. As he went to take it I lit it up and slammed it into him.

Akiya's eyes burned orange as he was visibly affected by it before grabbing it. I watched in fear as the electricity swirled in his hands before he broke it. "One good thing about that half spirit." Akiya responded letting the now smashed taser drop to the ground.

"Now it's only fair if I return the favor." My eyes widened as he took a step forward and as I went to turn and run he lunged forward and grabbed my wrists holding them together. I could already feel the cold shadows; the same that Daiki once showed me. Except different.

The shadows burned and seared into my skin. It was uncomfortable as I fought against me. "You Araya are behind me. You aren't stronger than me." Akiya taunted as I looked up at him. He pushed me forward as I hit a rack and numerous katanas fell out. I fought against him.

Even if I could get one of those katanas they would shatter against his blade. His katana was blessed by his foxfire. The black streak spoke lengths. "You should of just stopped." Akiya said his eyes staring into mine. "Now your paying for it." I struggled as I dug nails into his hand.
