Araya

MY gaze shifted over to where Daiki was sitting on the bed with empty bowl of mac and cheese at his side. The bowl was empty to the point he had scraped the cheese from the side. I looked up at him as I bit my lip.

"Hey guys do you mind going into the other room for I can talk to Daiki." I spoke looking up. Convincing Issei didn't  take long as he went to the the room designated for us girls with Nightshade at his side. Akiya watched me as did Storm. "Please." I added.

Finally they gave in giving me the space I needed with Daiki. "And look we are all alone again." Daiki spoke as I came over. "What do you want?" Daiki asked as I came over and grabbed his hand. "I don't want you to feel offended but what I'm going to say." I told him

Daiki watched me. "I'm rarely offended you'll just irritate me since you want me to let him back out for you. To let me sit and watch as he gets to touch you and everything else. As he gets what I desired before he even knew about you." His tone was bitter.

"I want him back I promise it's not that I don't care about you. I mean I have to, I just, I need him back to get this done." I told him squeezing his hand. The desire to have Daiki back at my side with that grin was strong.

To hear him telling me it was going to be okay. I needed that with the way my life was falling apart around me in bursts of embers before dying out. I needed that safe haven that he would provide. "You want me to go back to the void." Daiki spoke.

"To let control be taken just for you to stick me with needles and make it impossible for me to come out again. Not only getting rid of me for you can have my precious human side back but putting him at risk as well?" Daiki asked a deadly look in his eyes.

"I never said I'd trap you, that was my mothers doing." I spoke. "You still let it happen. Hell you even encouraged it." I looked at him. "I'm sorry." I spoke. "Are you sorry because it's truthful or are you sorry for you can get what you want?" Daiki asked.

"You may not act like a kitsune in the eyes of most people but deep down Araya you are one. And the more that spirit rises the more you'll act like one. You want what benefits you and having him instead of me benefits you." Daiki spoke.

"It's not personal, I promise. I would love to get to know you one day." Daiki watched me. "But you aren't the most cooperative and you have a helicopter mom breathing down your back who hates me." I spoke. Daiki watched me. "And I just want him back." I felt like crying.

My whole plan to convince Daiki's spirit to let out his human side wasn't exactly going the way I planned it to. I thought he would just let his human side out and it would be all fine and dandy. But he was proving to be much harder to convince then I thought he would.

"Daiki, I'm not going to suppress you. I promise. We just need to get out of here and back into some sort of normalcy. I swear that I won't let them suppress you." I told him rubbing my finger across the top of his hand tracing the veins.

"Just I need you to cooperate. I just want the human side back, but I swear they won't suppress you. We don't even have the things to do it and my mom is gone. It's just Raiden and he won't suppress you." I told Daiki his hand locked in mine.

"I promise this. I won't let them do anything. Just please Daiki make things more simple and when the dust has settled and everything is a good as it possibly can get then maybe we can get to know each other better." I told him. Daiki looked back over at me.

"I promise you this Daiki. I won't let them lock you away we just need you to cooperate and let your human side out and I promise we'll get time to ourselves." I told him. Daiki watched me his dark chocolate eyes devoid of emotion before a smirk crawled on his lips.
