Araya
MIKI was scary, she made me uncomfortable as I stood next to Akiya desiring to get out of here. She brought this feeling of dread inside me especially knowing she wouldn't like me. I was a kitsune, and Miki didn't like kitsunes. That became quite obvious.
And I happened to be the kitsune who was her prized sons girlfriend. I was still as I stood next to Akiya as Daiki went up to his mom followed by his older sister Ren. Issei looked pissed as he glanced over at me. We made eye contact as he nodded at me.
But there was this look in his eyes that made me feel a bit safe. He had a plan formulating in his head. Some sort of plan. He was going to try to break us out of here. And that thought made me feel just a bit more safe.
Issei may have been defeated by Daiki and Ren, but the fire and fight in his eyes had yet to die out. I was so thankful that he was a lot more confident than I happened to be. Even after being defeated he was still here flipping his finger off at them.
But of course they didn't know this. "As you can see, we are slowly growing. Nogitsunes haven't been that easy to get. And the full moon is a bit away before we can reopen the rift, but we'll be stopping that since something else nearly escaped last time." I went still.
And then I remembered how Daiki was opening a rift way back then. The land between the dead and living. I still had yet to find out what they were aiming to do. But I wanted to know. Something told me I was going to be dragged into this.
I looked around the room. "But we have been moving far. And the first thing I would like to tell you besides that Raiden got what he desired, we have the blade. Now I am not sure on how to use it, but we will figure this out." Miki spoke as Jakku stepped forward a katana in his hand.
He handed it over to Miki who smiled at the katana now resting in her hands as she smiled out. "Times are looking good, I have my son back after he went missing. And our numbers are growing." Miki spoke as Raiden leaned against the railing.
His eyes swept over the cafeteria and landed on Akiya and I, a smile crossed his face upon seeing us. It made me uncomfortable. With that friendly smile on his face he didn't seem to be dangerous. He seemed normal, well as normal as he could be under flickering lights.
In this lighting I was wondering if he was even the villain. Unlike Miki he wasn't giving a speech that rivaled the dragon lady's speech from the show that Storm loved. Except Miki was much more deadly, it was in her nature to be like this. After all she was a nogitsune.
And she wasn't resisting it one bit. She was bathing in all of her darkness. But then what did I know about nogitsunes? Daiki had been suppressed around me and Issei wasn't malevolent the way most of them tended to be. And I liked to see the good side of people.
But I couldn't identify one in Miki. She seemed to be pure evil. As she continued talking I kept my gaze trained on the ground. And when she stopped chatter echoed throughout just as Raiden motioned Akiya over. "Don't move." Akiya responded looking at Storm and I before leaving.
Storm moved over near me. "How many nogitsunes are there?" Storm asked. I looked around. "Eleven." I spoke including Issei into this. Storm nodded. "Not too many at least." Storm spoke her eyes going around. She didn't even sound different, and knowing this was her wolf terrified me. Storm looked back at me.
"I know this isn't Storm." I spoke and her body went tense. Golden eyes looked back at me. "You little fox will be smart to shut your fucking mouth." Her words were pure venom as her eyes returned green. "Because I'm your best way out." The wolf spoke.
