Note this chapter discusses some slightly dark topics if you're uncomfortable reading about affairs and depression please skip over Flora and Crystal's conversation (note nothing graphic will happen I just talk about it)
"But I'm only human"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ace walked the silent hallways upset at himself, he couldn't find a way to undo Icy's spell, and even if he did he still didn't know how to take the dark magic out of Frieda without hurting her. He looked out the window as he walked, watching the sun rise; he opened the doors to the greenhouse and walked over to the rainbow gardenia. Hello there Ace said looking at the flower.
Ace of Melody the rainbow gardenia spoke, I had a feeling we'd meet soon enough, I'm surprised that with the amount of determination you have for my fairy you didn't come sooner.
What can I say Ace said, I wanted to try every spell in the book before having to bother you.
I can see the rainbow gardenia said, and that seems to be going unwell for you; so you came to me with questions but mostly to seek my advice. Well lucky for you I have a soft spot for paladin's; what do you seek?
A way to help Frieda, the dark magic in her veins Ace said is there any way to get it out?
No the rainbow gardenia said bluntly, there is no way other than to wait it out I'm afraid; Frieda had decided to risk something for the magic dimension and the magic dimension wants her to feel the affect of that risk.
But when she died Ace said, that affected her so much.
More than you know the rainbow gardenia said sadly, she's a good kid and she makes great choices; but those choices don't affect her, and don't benefit her; they benefit the world. And the magic dimension never had someone so willing to give up everything to save them that they don't know what to say or do, they don't know if she's dangerous or not, if it's just an act and she'll turn her back on them.
How would you feel if you just died the rainbow gardenia said, and suddenly you came back to life and saved the world as everyone knows it. Then be thrown into exile, not trusted by anyone. Frieda is a good kid and a great fairy, but she cares too much and you people, this would doesn't deserve her. They don't deserve her kindness, not if they can't give kindness back.
I'm sorry Ace I cannot help you the rainbow gardenia said, the dark magic will leave Frieda if she falls to corruption point; and she will fall, because you can't keep seeing kindness in people if it's not there.
If Frieda falls to corruption point she'll never get back up Ace said and with the darkness in her veins who knows what she can do, she'll be terrified of herself and people will be terrified of her.
Let them be the rainbow gardenia said, if they cannot see her with kindness then they will see her as the monster they think she is, and then they will realize the truth. But never underestimate my fairy do you hear me, she will get out of corruption point and when she does she will stand tall.
When is it going to happen Ace asked, when is she going to fall?
I don't know the rainbow gardenia said, I'm no seeker. I can't see into the future; all I know is that she will fall and when darkness is spread upon the magic dimension they will realize all that she had done for them, and they will show her kindness. And just like she helped him he would help her, she will return stronger than before; after all she is their savior. Now leave me in peace and don't bother my fairy or you might be one of the reasons she falls.
Ace stared at the flower as the light around it dimmed and he was back in the greenhouse, I won't let her fall; she doesn't deserve to be thrown into the darkness like that. Standing up he walked out of the room and towards the infirmary, he would never tell Frieda about the conversation he had with her flower, he wasn't going to tell her that she might fall, no; not while there was still hope.
