The Nature Moon

The sun began to rise, light coming to everything it touched, waking it up, letting its colors show, today was going to be a good day, anyone could feel it. On Rainbow Valley the sun rising was a sign that their powers were back, that the moon was over. It meant it was time for everyone to return to where they needed to be.

Frieda woke up with the sunrise as per usual she had to make the rainbow, yet she was surprised to see Crystal up as well. Good morning, I didn't know that you were an early riser.

I'm not Crystal said, but today the sun feel so bright almost as if it's shining hope onto us all.

Well that's a beautiful way to put it Frieda said smiling as she began to pack, are you coming to the party tonight?

What party Crystal asked in surprise, I wasn't aware of any party?

Frieda looked at her in surprise and laughed, surely you know! We celebrate it every five years, it's why the rainbow moon was so short yesterday. When Crystal still looked at her in confusion, Frieda shook her head I can't believe you forgot that it's a nature moon.

Crystal looked at her in shock, no that can't be, five years ago was the fire moon so that would mean, oh this year is the nature moon; I can't believe I forgot.

Your highness Sophia said walking into the room, what have you forgotten, I can get it for you if you'd like?

That's quite alright Sophia, Frieda said Crystal here forgot it was a nature moon.

A nature moon Sophia said quietly, if you don't mind me asking Princess, but what is the nature moon exactly?

Oh it's the most beautiful time of the year Crystal said as she began to dance around the room, there's a party, music, and the most beautiful display of nature ever.

I don't think that's what she wanted to know Crystal, Frieda said laughing at the girl. Turning to Sophia she explained, every five years a different of the six elements get there own moon for one whole day, traditionally the day before there is always a short rainbow moon followed by a week long one. There's the water moon, the nature moon, the light moon, the fire moon, the music moon, and the techno moon. When Mother Nature created the rainbow moon she decided that the other main six elements had to be celebrated too, so every five years a different moon would appear and we'd celebrate as Crystal described. Today is a nature moon, so we celebrate and tonight there's going to be a party at Alfea.

The only thing that's scary Crystal said, is that because today is surrounded by nature the Trix can strike at anytime and become successful very quickly.

Oh don't scare her Frieda said, legend has it that on the special moons Mother Nature protects all good from evil, it's a time of celebration and light; so to all those who enjoy the day she will protect from harms way.

That's just a legend, Crystal said no one even knows if it's true. But I never knew that following the special moon rainbow fairies go a week without powers, why?

I honestly don't know, Frieda said there was never an explanation to it, or to why Mother Nature never stopped the rainbow moons after the witches abused its power. But there's always got to be a balance, if there's good then there also must be bad.

Anyways I promised the Winx I'd be back in time to help set up Frieda said as she grabbed her phone and checked the time, which speaking of I should get going, you coming Crystal?

Yeah, gotta grab some stuff Crystal said wait a second she said running out of the room.
