Liam came and sat down next to me. We were on the back steps of the venue in the carpark. It was kinda cold, even though it was the beginning of June. I couldnt believe we were halfway through 1998 already, time just seemed to speed up and up and never slow down for anything. He lit a cigarette and sighed.
"Well thats that fucked then".

"What do you mean?".

"Well what did yer go about fuckin' telling everyone for man? It were supposed to be our secret" he replies.

"It were gonna come out sooner or later. What about the 12 week scan in two weeks?" I ask "they'll be wondering why we're making excuses to run off together in the middle of where ever it is we're fuckin' goin'. Then they'd be talking. So its best they know now".

"Yeah I s'pose yer right".

"Not to mention, its due in December" I chuckle "imagine we're all together at christmas and I just randomly start birthing a child next to the roast turkey on the table".

"That'd sure give me mam a shock" he chuckles back. Then he leans over and kisses me sweetly. "I Love you, Jess".

"I love you too, Liam" I reply.

He throws his cigarette butt into the carpark and takes my hand "come on we better face the music".

"Do you think he's had enough time to calm down?".

"Well its been six hours, I should fucking hope so, because we've only got three hours left to practice before we have to get ready and then half hour after that they let the people in" he replies "we're doing the show whether he likes it or not".
We enter the builing where there is a golf buggy waiting.

"You drove a golf buggy here?" I ask.

"What I was all the way on the other side of the building, come on" he helps me into the passenger seat and then gets in the drivers side.

"Dont you need a liscense to drive this thing?" I ask as he starts it.

"Nah, we arent on the road" he grins "you better hold on to something".

"What in a ten mile per hour shit-mobile? Get a grip" I chuckle. He pushes down on the accelerator and off we go at top speed down the halls. Im so glad no one was walking down them. Liam was loving the golf buggy version of speeding on a one way road, no wonder he got his liscense taken away.
We came to a screeching halt outside the green room. Where guigsy came out to see what all the noise was and why we were laughing so much.

"What the fuck's got into you two loonies?" He asks us.

"Nothin' just havin' a but of fun like, we are on tour after all" I chuckle.

"Yeah and yer almost woke the baby".

"Oh sorr-y" Liam says in a mocking tone.

"Its like having a couple of teenagers" he mutters.

"You used to be like us once" Liam replies all serious all of a sudden "all of you did even misery bollocks, Noel".

"I cant argue with that 'cause yer right, but I grew up, Liam, mabe you should aswell" he replies.

"Whatever, come on Jess lets go play some instruments" liam smiles.

"Hang on, I wanna go check on Liza, wait here yeah?" I ask.

"Alright" he gets back in the golf buggy and I walk into the room behind Guigsy. Eliza is peacefully asleep in her travel cot. I watch her for a moment and then kiss her on her forehead, I probably shouldnt have done this as it woke her up again. She didnt cry but just looked at me.
