Chapter 13 ~ HURT AND GUILT

As soon as Manik went out Kabeer sat down on his bed with a thud because he couldn't believe that it was his friend Manik to whom he was talking a while ago. He was in doubt, angry and what not because for a fact he knew that there was something which he is missing out. Something very big that it is troubling Manik and compelled him to take  such a drastic step. But he couldn't understand what it was. At the moment Kabeer was too blank to decipher anything. But he was determined enough that he'll get back to Manik very soon because somewhere he had this gut feeling that this is not the end. There's a lot more which is about to happen and before everything turns up so ugly that there's no way out of it he has to find a way he has to find out the issue and with this he went out of the room with the agenda that he has to speak to Sanjana as soon as possible. But somewhere he knew Manik won't let this happen. He won't let him talk to Sanjana in private. But Kabeer was determined that he will talk and with this he moved out and saw everyone sitting and talking, enjoying their time. Kabeer also joined them and realised everyone was there except Nandini and subsequently he felt bad for her. 

"So guys what's up? Are we going to spend whole Sunday like this only? Gossiping?" He said making a bad face.

To which everyone laughed out and Priya said "Ofcourse not Kabeer. What's on your mind?"

Kabeer smirked eyeing Manik and said "Nothing as such. And by the way where's Nandini"

Hearing Nandini's name Manik snapped up at Kabeer. Because he knew he deliberately took her name. Whereas Kabeer noticed the roller coaster of emotions on Manik's face as soon as he heard Nandini's name. And smirked more and thought "This is just the start Manik Malhotra. Just wait and watch now. A lot is coming your way."

Hearing Kabeer, Priya panicked said "Oh my god. I just forgot about her that she isn't here. Where's she? " And with this she called Nandu.

And hearing Priya's voice Nandini came back to her senses wiped her tears, made herself presentable and went out.

Within few minutes Nandini joined them. Her eyes were swelled up due to crying and her bright face was devoid of every colour and emotions, it was dull and down. The hurt was very much visible on her face which Manik could easily read and as soon as he saw her he felt more guilty and hurt for making her suffer so much. He knew it's all his mistake. Seeing her like that so dull at that moment he wanted to disappear somewhere with her where no one knew them, no one could see them and just care for her, be there with her without any hurdles. No one but just them together. He just wanted to compensate for the tears she has shed because of him. But he can't do that. He was so helpless that he has to just see her suffering in front of his eyes. He has to see her breaking bit by bit. And this was his biggest punishment which he could get for hurting her so badly. Because he assumed that this is for her own betterment. It will hurt her now but it's good for her future. Although he was The Manik Malhotra, he can do things he wants. But there exists a power which is beyond his control it's their destiny their fate which will work as it wants to not as Manik Malhotra or Nandini Murthy wishes to. The final call is their fate's.

As soon as Nandini sat beside Priya she kept her head on Priya's lap silently and lied down. Seeing her like this Priya smiled and moved her hands in her hairs and gently kissed her forehead and asked her

"What happened Nandu? You okay, right?"

"Nothing dii, just like that." said Nandini softly controlling her tears.

But Priya understood that there's something wrong for sure. She understood that her angel was in some trouble and right now what her angel needed from her was her love and support. And without questioning any further she was just smilingly ruffling her hairs gently to give her comfort.
