Natalie Pierce

A soft pat on my shoulder awoke me from my deep slumber. I groaned softly as I turned around to face the one who had intruded on my sleep.

"It's almost lunch time, get up sis." Alena, my sister, spoke softly.

"Oh alright. Is mom home?" I asked her, sitting up on my bed, letting out a small yawn.

"Nope.. as expected." Alena shrugs making me sigh.

"Anyways, hurry up, dad made bean enchiladas!!" Alena cheered jumping out of the room making me chuckle.

I grabbed my phone and got out of bed, not bothering to make my bed. Grabbing myself some black leggings and a grey oversized hoodie, I entered my bathroom.

While peeing, I brushed my teeth. I know that seems gross, but it's not really. After I was done, I slipped out of my clothes, put on some songs to wake me up, and stepped into the shower.

I didn't have the energy to sing as I usually did in the shower. I stayed under the water, washing myself, until my fingers turned prune-y and my stomach started to gurgle. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself up in a towel.

Plugging in my hairdryer, i grabbed my hairbrush. Rather quickly, probably because I was hungry, I dried my hair, making sure it didn't curl up like it usually did after a shower.

After my hair was dry, I took off my towel and threw it in the laundry basket in the corner. I grabbed some undergarments from the drawer and put them on. I put on my leggings with difficulty since my legs were still a bit wet from the shower. And then came my hoodie.

Outside the bathroom, I took off my wet slippers on the mat and swapped them for some fluffy sandals. With my phone in hand, I skipped downstairs, into the kitchen.

"I smell good food." I licked my lips as I sat down on a stool, looking at the delicious looking bean enchiladas in front of me.

"If you were even a second late, I would've eaten all of these." Alena glared at me. I stuck my tongue out at her.

"Okay, okay girls." Dad laughed "Dig in." He said, pointing to the enchiladas.

Alena and I didn't hold back on the enchiladas. She ate atleast 4, but I didn't eat any less. I ate the rest 3 that were left.

"Also, Natalie.. your mother and I have some important things to talk to you about." Dad said, while him, me, and Alena did the dishes after lunch.

I crinkled my forehead, confused, "What about?" I asked him.

"We'll talk when your mother gets here." Dad sighed before leaving to go upstairs.

I looked at Alena, but she shrugged back at me, equally as confused.
