"So, what do you two do here all day?" I heard my mom ask Shawn as I brought out a few muffins and placed them on the coffee table along with two glasses of water, one of which my mom picked up.

"Uhm just talk and hang around, sometimes we go out." Shawn lied. We barely ever converse.

He bit into his muffin and his face lit up. That's one thing I've now learnt about him. His love for muffins.

"Thanks Nat." He spoke with his mouth full, and placed another kiss on my cheek, acting obviously.

My mother stayed for a couple hours, talking about stuff and even told us about the even reminded Shawn of the party his company was hosting tonight which he had forgotten about. He was embarrassed but my mother thought it was cute. I, on the other hand, thought it was dumb. But I kept my mouth shut.

Nevertheless, things were going pretty smoothly and he turned out to be a pretty great actor. My mood had heightened and I was feeling happy atleast. But things took a slight turn when Shawn and I were waving my mother goodbye.

"Adios mama!" I waved and she smiled and waved before getting into her car and starting the engine.

As Shawn was about to close the door he kissed me. On the lips. And then shut the door completely.

"Why did you do that?" I spoke angrily.

"Your mom was suspicious when you were so silent. And she was looking right now from the car." Shawn explained.

"Well- don't do that again." I muttered harshly before stomping up to our room.

It had been a couple hours since I'd practically shouted at shawn. None of us had spoken to each other since then. It was around 6 o clock now so I decided to start getting ready for Shawn's stupid company's stupid party.

It was probably going to be formal.

I changed into a rose gold/champagne coloured long dresses it was plain and simple. I curled my hair just a tiny bit and ran my fingers through it to loosen the curls.

My makeup was pretty simple with just some mascara, eyeliner, and a pale pink lipgloss. I just put in silver heels since they wouldn't really be seen and then I wrapped a fluffy cotton shawl around my shoulders.

Shawn's necklace still hung on my neck and I was itching to take it off since I hated wearing his initials but I didn't want to upset him even more than I already had.

I walked down the stairs carefully, phone in one hand. And maybe I wasn't careful enough, because on the last step I slipped. I was ready to let my head hit the ground when I was encased into two arms.

I sighed in relief before opening my eyes.

I looked up to see Shawn's honey brown eyes staring right back at me with some sort of an intensity I couldn't decipher.

"Um.. thank you." I spoke softly, as he lifted me up and helped me stand up properly.

"No problem." He spoke quietly before walking towards the front door, me walking after him.

I can't wait for this party to be over, and it hasn't even started yet.

Wowowowowo life is crap.
