{Midoriya}

The group arrived at the theatre about an hour earlier than expected, much to everyone's surprise. The lobby was almost empty, excluding the people running around in the arcade or the employees talking behind the booth.

With a lot of spare time to kill, they all agreed on heading to the arcade. Because most people were currently watching a movie or hadn't arrived yet, it was rather quiet compared to usual. The occasional scream or gunshot from a game would ring out into the air, filling everyone with a sense of nostalgia.

Well, mostly everyone. Todoroki had never been to an arcade before, much to Midoriya's dismay. He shouldn't've been surprised considering his brutal past, but still, arcades are a part of every kid's life. It didn't matter how old you were, you were never too old to play games.

Everyone began splitting up into groups, as had become the new procedure. Midoriya quickly grabbed Todoroki's hand and led him through the arcade, twisting and turning until he'd come across one game in particular.

It was a simple racing game, you know, one of the ones that turns with the car? Though it was basic, it had always been Midoriya's favorite. Ever since his mom first brought him here as a kid.

After explaining the controls to Todoroki, they both hopped onto their sides and slid their coins into the slot. All that was left now was to press start.

3... 2... 1...

The numbers flashed across the screen, filling Midoriya with anticipation. Sure, he probably should've gone easier on Todoroki, but when it comes to racing, Midoriya was ruthless. That's why he had the second-highest score on the leaderboard. Of course, it was only counting the points scored on this particular machine, so in reality, he'd still be in the lower half of the worldwide scoreboard, but just seeing his name displayed every time filled him with a sense of pride and accomplishment. It was proof that he'd done something worth noting.

To no surprise, Midoriya beat Todoroki. He hadn't expected much else, considering this was Todoroki's first time playing. Honestly, though, Todoroki had done quite well. In fact, he'd done better than a lot of other people he'd seen trying for years just to get that perfect score.

"So what should we play next?" Midoriya piped up, already looking around at all the cool machines. His eyes seemed to glow in the blacklight, making them appear truly enchanting.

"Hmmm... how about that one?" Midoriya followed Todoroki's gaze and felt his heart drop. Dance dance revolution. Midoriya was never that good at dancing, seeing as how he was uncoordinated and clumsy. Sure, he'd danced with his mom when he was like four, but after his father left she got another job, so they never had time to dance anymore.

"S-sure," he finally responded, taking a deep breath before walking toward the machine. He was quite shocked that this was the game that Todoroki had chosen, seeing as how he never really seemed like one to dance.

As it turned out, Todoroki was actually an amazing dancer. He moved with grace and confidence, and even when he messed up it still looked intentional. Midoriya couldn't concentrate on his own dancing as he was watching the other boy.

When the game ended, Todoroki won. By a lot. Midoriya shot him a pouty face, which turned into a fit of giggles.

"I didn't know you could dance!" Todoroki reached up to wipe his forehead and chuckled.

"I used to dance with my siblings when I was younger. They did it to distract me from my parents fighting, so it happened quite often." As he spoke, a distant look crossed his face, as though he were reliving those memories. Midoriya smiled, imagining a young Todoroki smiling and actually having fun.

"You just need a teacher. If you want, we could play again and I'll help you," Todoroki suggested. Midoriya hesitantly nodded and walked back over to the machine.

The game started up once more, the screen in front of them lighting up. The music began and the characters on the screen began dancing, showing them the moves.

This time, however, Todoroki was standing with him, hands placed firmly on his hips and a small smile on his face. Every now and then he'd whisper a tip to Midoriya, causing his face to heat up.

The song finally ended and the two boys rushed off to find more games.

((I've never played DDR, so I'm sorry if I messed it up! Actually, I don't ever actually remember going to the arcade, idk if I have... Anyways, hope it was alright))
