I'll skip the boring part. We spent a lot of time driving in the Lamborghini around the dumb purple bubble that had formed around New York now. We had to stop multiple times to get gas in now evacuated areas. There was literally no one when we stopped but occasionally we saw someone who was injured and decided to stop and help them in whatever way we could. After hours of driving through what looked like ghost towns, we came across what looked like a military base establishment. There was tanks and other military vehicles surrounding a large square concrete building. There was soldiers all around the perimeter standing guard, constantly. They stared at us and aimed there guns at us when we rolled up in the car.
I opened the door and yelled, "I come in peace!" Then I recognized the cop from my school in one of the soldiers outfits with what looked like an assault rifle. I pointed at him, "He knows me!" The soldiers all looked at him and who I assume was the Sergeant grabbed him by the arm and walked him violently over to the car gun in hand. They stopped at my door. And I kid you not, the cop looked me straight in the eyes and proceeded to roll his eyes at me.
He sighed, "He's fine. He's our version of that thing out there." The soldiers all put their guns down and the guy let the cop go and backed away from my door letting me get out. And Jennifer soon followed after. I closed the door to my car and looked at the guys uniform. He was a Sergeant just as I had suspected. I looked at his name tag, "Lasky". I looked up and made eye contact with him. He was about the same height as me. He was just a typical soldier if you ask me, buzz cut hair and no facial hair to be seen.
I cleared my throat, "Well Sergeant Lasky, I'd appreciate it if you led me to who's in charge."
He put his gun in its holster and gave me the stink eye before saying, "You two follow me." He led Jennifer and I, into the concrete building without hesitation and a pair of soldiers followed after us, rifles in hand. There was radios receivers and transmitters set up all around the bottom floor. Then the upstairs where he took us there was a large, square table that was lit from the center. It was the only light source in the room but it worked pretty well. And sprawled across the table were maps of the entire city's streets. And also a map of the sewage system oddly. There was around twelve chairs around the table and boards with numbers all around the room. I have no clue what they were for but there was a lot of them. I felt Jennifer grab onto my hand tightly squeezing it. I looked at her and saw she was very nervous. I tried to give her an assuring look but I had no clue what these guys were planning. Then I tried to tell who was in charge in the room to discover the person who had a ton of badges on their outfit and weirdly shaped hat like a general. I guessed they were the one running this whole operation. I tried to walk over to them but got stiff armed by someone from my left which knocked the wind out of me almost. I looked and at my eye level was someone's chest they were wearing a standard soldiers uniform, leaning against the wall. I looked up to see this was some mega tall dude. And when I say he was tall, I mean he was TALL, Like 6'6. This dude was white, he had short brown hair, and brown eyes like Toby. But what separates him from looking like Toby was his scar, this beast-like man, had a scar on the corner of his forehead. He wasn't no slacker either. He was more ripped then I was. And honestly I was surprised Jennifer wasn't head over heels in love with this guys looks but she squeezed my hand literally as hard as she could when she saw this guy. It felt like she was gonna break my hand at this rate. She clung close to me.
He looked down at me like I was an ant. Then he spoke, "What'cha doin' up here kid? You ain't got the clearance to talk to the general." I tried to push his arm down but it didn't budge an inch. He was easily stronger than me strength wise. I looked at Jennifer and whispered smiling trying to cheer her up, "Remind not to piss this guy off." She giggled a little to herself becoming less nervous. It made me feel a little better seeing her more happy. He spoke again scaring me, "She can talk to him not you. You're the serial killer guy." I looked down getting tired of being held to my past actions. I sighed and looked to Jennifer. She let go of my hand and walked slowly up to the general to talk to him. The general turned to face her and started talking to her, probably telling her the current situation. I looked up to the big guy, "What's your deal big dude?" He gave me a death stare. "I'm better than you, you immoral Demi-God." He flicked me in the shoulder and that hurt. It felt like he just punched my full force but it was just a flick! I didn't say anything back feeling quite offended. The general motioned for me to come over to them and the big moved his arm finally leaning back up against the wall. I walked over to the general and Jennifer. The general was a black lady who was buff but also slim.
She smiled slightly and for some reason seemed somewhat approachable even though she was supposedly a general. "Sorry if Michael gave you trouble. He's just doing what his job is."
I looked at her then back to him. And he staring at me like deep into my soul. I looked back to the general, "What's his job?"
She seemed to hesitate for a second but then spit it out, "He's been trying to kill whatever that thing is that you couldn't. He's more durable, stronger, faster, and more enhanced than you are with your senses." So basically this dude was a better version of me...
I thought to myself what could be stronger than a Demi-God in pretty much all aspects but came up with nothing. I had to ask her, "So what exactly is that guy? Is he human?"
Jennifer pitched in before the general could respond, "He doesn't smell even close to a human or anything I usually stumble upon. Not even a monster."
The general chuckled a bit to herself before saying, "He's an experiment by our government. We've been working on him for years perfecting him. This is his first time outside the lab. The first time he's been exposed and actually being used."
I was going to ask another question but then there was loud blasting of what sounded like a nuclear siren. And the table in the middle of the room began flashing red. Then the purple bubble wall passed through the first wall of the room then through us and the next wall to the other side. I looked at the general and then at Jennifer. We were inside the forcefield now.... trapped with whatever the entity was.
