I stare wide eyed at One as he is done explaining what he saw and heard.
"So your saying people are eating each other now!" Rainy stares at One in udder shock.
"Yeah some say its the end of the world but I say its the apocalypse" One shrugs as he finishes cleaning his hatchet.
"Well what do we do now if it really is the apocalypse?" I look at Rainy and One with a serious expression but inside I don't know how to comprehend the fact that the world we knew and loved is gone and a whole new world awaits.
"I say we should go get supplies mainly because looters and bandits will get to it all when they figure out what the hell is happening" One gets up hatchet in hand and walks out the door.
Rainy follows him so I tag along to looking at all of the burned buildings and broken windows of the houses we pass. I think to myself 'How did this happen last night without waking me up'.
We arrive at the local plaza and I look at all the shops seeing none that look broken in to and there are barely any cars in the parking lot.
"Follow me were gonna go into the Outdoor Goods store" One leads us to the building and he breaks the glass with the end of his Hatchet and he steps through the broken door into the empty store.
"We all split up but if you see anything out of the ordinary call for everyone" One heads off towards the far part of the store and Rainy looks at me with a smile.
"Be careful" She hugs me heading off to another area of the big store.
"Well here I go" I run to the camping supplies and grab a hunting bag and some matches. Then I grab a canister for water before heading towards the area of the store labeled Guns.
I see glass on the floor and a few things missing and I hope it was One or Rainy then I reach into the already broken case and grab a knife and a handgun.
"Help!" Rainy screams from the other end of the store and I run to her seeing an Infected walking towards her and my eyes widen as it lunges.
Just before it sinks its teeth into her neck One swings his Hatchet putting an end to it with one hit to the top of the skull.
"I wonder where he came from..." One looks at the dead infected on the ground. Rainy walks up to me almost at tears and wraps her arms around me and starts to cry.
"One you have an Idea as to where it came from?" I ask him with a confused look
"No if it came through the front door we would have heard the broken glass moving...Unless" One looks at me with wide eyes and I look at him still confused before I feel the cold barrel of a gun to the back of my head.
"Put the bags down and nobody gets hurt" A raspy voice from behind tells us and we all drop our stuff.
I then turn towards them and my eyes go wide as I see Maverick and his goons all off them holding Pistols and wearing leather coats.
"Well this just got better" Maverick smirks pushing me to the ground and he grabs Rainy.
"We will be taking her and if you try to stop us you wont like the outcome" Maverick laughs before walking away his goons following with there guns still raised at us.
"You sick fuck!" I shout at him and run towards them but before I get to far I feel Pain shot through my side and look down seeing the blood start to spread around the hole in my shirt.
I fall to the ground and feel the pain easing as my world goes black and the last thing I see is a car driving away Rainy shouting in the back.
